Default The sims 3 is not in Program Files\Electronic arts
Like the title says, the sims 3 isn’t in there. My issue is that I’m trying to download some worlds, but I have the sims 3 on both EA and Steam. It is in the Steam folder, but not EA. The instructions for installing the worlds say the following:

For Origin/EA app: C:\Program files (x86)\ Origin games\The sims 3 \ Game data\ shared\ NonPackaged\ Worlds

For Steam: The same, but instead of original games, it’s Steam \Steamapp\common.

Because the sims 3 is not in the EA one, I installed it to steam hoping it would work (since most other stuff I install on there works on EA too) but it didn’t. Now I’m a bit stuck, because I have nowhere else to download these from what I can see, and I can’t play the steam version because I have all the packs on EA. Help here would be appreciated.

Is your basegame Steam or Origin?

I believe steam. What happened is that I first got the game on steam, but then registered it on EA. I should add that I managed to find the worlds as Sims 3 packs and downloaded straight to the launcher, but I still don’t have the Sims 3 in the Electronic arts folder. Thanks for responding.

So just to clarify, you don't have any files in Program files (x86)\ Origin games\The sims 3 \ Game data\ shared\ NonPackaged\ Worlds? What Basegame files do you have in the Steam \Steamapp\common folders?

No, I think I said that in a confusing way. What I meant to say is that The sims 3 isn’t in Program Files (x86)\ EA games at all, and I don’t have any folders anywhere that mention origin. In that folder, there is only the folder for the Create a World tool. I don’t have access to my computer right now, but I’m pretty sure all the files that should be there are. Sorry about that, thanks again.
