Default Mrs CAS Overhaul

Pure scripting mode with various improvements to the CAS mode.

A brief description of the features:

1. Replace an existing Sim with a character from the SimBin (children included).
2. Save a Sim to the SimBin directly from CAS or a Dresser (Chest).
3. "Fix" for the «Basic» tab when editing children in CAS
4. Editing previously hidden clothing categories
5. Assign separate makeup sets for each outfit, just like in The Sims 3.
6. Ability to equip multiple makeup items of the same type.
7. Ability to clone makeup from one outfit category to another.
8. Display of accessory presets in the «Makeup» tab
9. Clothing and hair filtering by various categories.
10. Sorting and channel-by-channel pattern editing have been returned to the CAS’s Create-A-Style mode.
11. Fixes for multiple game bugs in CAS’s Create-A-Style mode and CAS itself
12. Fix for the blue eyes bug and other broken clothing/body parts.
13. Automatic scaling of the skinton tab when custom ones are installed.
14. A separate menu for selecting Traits, Fatal Flaw, Legendary traits, Religion, Faction, and Hidden traits.
15. Ability to change Sim’s name and title.

Mod works with others CAS mods from others authors.
Minor conflict with mods which unlock hidden Traits. Game will not break, just don't work one minor thing in this mode (separate menu for selecting Traits)
The translation for previously unavailable traits was taken from the «More Traits» by MariaCherry, with the author’s permission.

The mod supports translation into English and Russian.

More playable Sims (Core mod)
This mod was made at the request of one person.

A core mod that allows you to have 8 characters at the same time.

It's a Core mod which modifies UI.dll and HUDSkewer LAYO.

About compatibility with Grim Core:
This mod (More playable Sims) must be loaded first, then both mods will work without conflicts.

The order of loading mods is in alphabetical order by file name. You can add the letter A at the beginning of the More playable Sims mod's name.

Hi. Mod was tested by me on two PCs, as well as two more people tested and said that everything works. If you have any questions, I have tried to describe everything in detail in the documentation.

Translation is allowed, I will add it to the official release with the indication of authorship.

As for Tumblr, I don't have it. But you can specify a link to the Nexus or MTS.

Default Update Mrs CAS Overhaul. Version 1.5.0 from 14 March 2026.
Patch Notes:

1. Anti-Crash Protection
Most game patterns do not have RGB, but HSV structure, which is why they can cause the game to crash. Protection has been added to avoid this. When it is triggered, the selected outfit may visually change. Don't worry, this is how it should be! Just click on the desired button again.

When the protection is triggered for the first time, a tutorial message will pop up. The list of things with protection:
• Open the "Clothes" tab
• Changing clothing categories
• Exit the Create-A-Style mode
• Select a Sim from the SimBin
• Exit from the CAS

Briefly: if accessories are missing or the preset of the outfit has changed, press the selected key again.

2. Clothing categories
Due to the introduction of the Anti-Crash system, the clothing category switching system has been redesigned.

•Now, when you turn on the clothing tab or exit the Create-a-Style, the last selected category opens.
•In this case some categories may not display a list of items. Solution: switch the category
•Added a check for the occurrence of a blue eyes bug when changing clothing categories multiple times

3. Gear (Armor)
•The outfit editing system from the "Armor" category has been redesigned
•Fixed the issue of duplicating armor accessories to other categories when changing or saving NPC.
•New options have been added to the Mod Options (Clothing Manager), allowing you to add and put on armor/weapons in any Sim's inventory (if the role allows them).

4. Hair
•Improved the system for determining when a hairstyle is common to all categories
•Now the hair color should be correctly transferred to the other categories of clothing. If you notice that your CC hair looks broken, then enable the "Remove automatic hair color updates" option in the mod Options

5.Miscellaneous
•The Hidden Clothing filter has been changed
•Fixed an issue where children's NPC costume doesn’t change when editing through the hacked version of CAS
•The blue eyes debugging fix was removed when pressing the "O" key, as it should not have been there
•Updated localization files

[B]About compatibility with Grim Core:

You mention compatibility with Grim's Core, but what about TZDynamicProfessions mod? It's also a core. I use both, and I do have slight issues with them conflicting, but they are not major. If I were to add your mod as well, I feel like perhaps I would be sending my sims to Bonkeyland.

I see the cover image you posted, and I also see that I can barely see the images of the 8 sims you have selected to be together. Going by your images, I now fear that I would be strongly straining my eyes in trying to view the actions of any sims, and that would not be compatible with my vision abilities.
Before I will try your mod, I would appreciate your comments concerning TZDynamicProfessions mod.

https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=439543

By the way LEEBBI had fixed the Blue-Eye Bug for my game with this:
LEEBBI_DEFAULT_EyeColorPresets.package

However, I am now experiencing a bit of relapse, here and there concerning my sims' eye color, and it drives me a bit crazy seeing NPC sims given red eyes, or purple eyes, when those are not realistic human-being eye colors. My game shows that it is saving the eye colors I have modified, but when I return to cas for any sim, the save is no longer there.

Thank you, I shall await your reply,

Xeny

I didn't know about the existence of another core mod for TSM. Judging by the contents of the package, the mod is not a core, but a regular script. TZDynamicProfessions does not affecting the same game files as my core-mod. So I think they are compatible.

I attached a screenshot of how the portraits look at 1920 x 1080. In fact, the size of the portraits remained original. I only added support for additional windows when there are more than 4 Sims in the family.

Have no idea of how it was fixed in LEEBBI's mod. At the time of the release of her presets, my mod had already been under development for 4 months. And at that time, other modder told me that there was no working fix for blue eyes. Also if you use MC Command Center, then one of the autumn updates should have added my finding on eliminating one of the reasons for the occurrence of blue eyes in hacked versions of CAS (I'm not sure if it was added in the end, but there were conversations).

I have what to say about blue eyes bug, so I'll duplicate my reply from nexus:

I would like to point out that although the bug is called the "blue eye bug," it actually affects and corrupts information about the entire Sim's face, including the color of their makeup, eyebrows, and even things that are not visible to the average player. In the documentation (About the blue eyes bug), I described the two main reasons for it, one of which is directly related to changing hairstyles, clothing presets, and makeup. Based on my personal tests (clean game without mods) during the mod development period, I noticed that the bug never appears in a fresh save when creating a new Sim. However, once the game is saved, the bug may occur even in the dresser via chest. The bug also occurs after using some of the older mods that allows you to open the full CAS mode, but there is a different reason for this. CAS Overhaul prevents both of these bug causes. But if you're playing with saves or characters created before using the mod, there's a high chance they're already affected by the bug, even if it is not visible.
