Default Site loading very slowly following IP Lock and re-activation
After getting some Cloudflare Bad Gateway screens, I realized my IP might have been blocked from MTS. When trying to log in again, I noticed I had gotten an email saying: "A new login was detected on your account that does not match previous IP addresses you have used." This was just caused by me logging in on mobile (which I think I have done before since I sometimes use a hotspot for browsing?). I re-activated my account on my wifi to remove the IP lock, and now the site is loading, just incredibly slowly. Is there something going on with my IP still on this site?

There was no communication when my IP was blocked at all until I tried to re-log in. I should also add that my living situation is in a state of flux right now so I've used many different wifis on my account. I'm not sure if this was flagged as suspicious.

This situation is also making me a bit anxious as a week ago I tried to upload my own mod for Sims 3 (still in the queue), and now the site is barely loading for me, so I'm not sure I'll be able to support the mod at all if the site barely loads for me. And besides that I'm a huge sims fan, so not being able to access Mod The Sims anymore would just be heartbreaking.

Any help would be appreciated

The site is incredibly slow for me too.

I use a mobile internet connection and do expect once a month to have to reactivate per Tashiketh, but about six weeks down the line, I haven't had to reactivate my account.

The other issue - could this be part of the same problem? - I receive 2 lots of consent to agree to:-

I don't think this should be the case.
I hope this is resolved soon.

Yep same here. I couldn't even sign in until I cleared browsing data + cookies in firefox.

Hmm yeah, doesn't seem right to have to agree to the terms twice.

I also had to clear cookies in Firefox! It seems like I might've assumed the IP lock and slow loading were related when they aren't though, since I've now heard from a bunch of other people the site was also loading slowly for them yesterday.

In the first screenshot you aren't logged in. In the second, you are. There are actually 2 sets of ad providers at the moment: one for guests and one for members. This is why the double consent. This is temporary until the new ads provider get their shit together or I go back to the old one.

Regarding slow loading - I have not noticed this at all from my end either as a guest or a member. The server is barely loaded most of the time, so I'm not sure what could be causing this.

Today loading speeds seem to be back to normal, for me at least. Seems it was just yesterday

Yesterday I too had loading issues, back to normal today. Cloudflare was fine, it was a host error.

The site seems to be back to loading slowly for me, and I'm sometimes getting Cloudflare Host errors when trying to load pages

Hello Tashiketh
Thank you for your reply.
I am currently at home with my landline internet and using my smart phone and no issues.😁
Some members are indicating it seems to be resolved, i won’t know until I am back later in the week.
Fingers crossed it is okay.

Update 22/04/2026 At caravan with mobile internet, still had 2 consents but site is working fine for me.
