Hey all,

Would really appreciate any insight into this. So I'm playing an un-modded game in a household of 8 people. 2 of the 8 people are unable to leave the household to go anywhere. Doesn't matter if it's walking or taking a taxi. They just get stuck or disappear. I realized that when either of these 2 sims go to use the phone to call a taxi, the Invite another Sim prompt does not pop up. It goes straight to the Taxi being on it's way. Then when the 2 sims get in the taxi, it doesn't move or go to the loading screen. Same if they choose to walk to another location.

The other 6 sims meanwhile are able to invite others to different lots and it works just fine. I've tried force error in the debug menu and with batbox and nothing works. It happens no matter how many times I restart the game.

Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Is there anything unusual about these sims- do they have things in their inventories, do they have turn offs and turn ons, personality points and aspirations? Any CC on the sims? Is your game modded?

Also, which version of the game are you using, which EPs do you have?

Nothing unusual that I know of that I can tell. With the two sims that can't leave, this is the first instance of me trying to get them to go anywhere. So basically, it's not like they were able to travel a week ago and now they can't. The game isn't modded and it's the Sims 2 Legacy with all the most recent patches.

I'm wondering if there's some sort of error in which because the option invite other sims doesn't come up, the game then is unable to go to the next screen because it doesn't know if there more sims coming or not. Like it's stuck "waiting." But that's just a theory. It's very perplexing and frustrating since the rest of the sims in the house hold can invite and travel just fine.

So aside from the batbox, you don't have any files in your downloads folder?

I have two other mods I downloaded to attempt to fix the problem. Portal Revealer and SimBlender. I installed SimBlender because while trying to fix the problem, I deleted the Taxi the Sim was in because it wouldn't travel. Unfortunately that deleted the Sim entirely with the Taxi. After that, the screen loaded the destination (The Muse Dance studio) but I was stuck in buildmode and my Sim wasn't there. I used the tombstone of Life and Death to bring my Sim back but he was no longer the same age so I used SimBlender to age him up.

Other than that, no mods have been installed and those were only installed to try to fix this problem. Thanks for trying to help with this so far.

What I would try as a last resort then is to backup your game and move those two sims out, then move them back in.
