Default No blue tint or something to cover the top of pools?
I have a lighting mod and it's great, the pool water is mostly clear, but the water has this blue tint near the bottom and it's kind of bothering me. I'm playing (or creating for now) an island hood and it doesn't make sense for the water to have a blue tint. I would use beach lots instead but the specific terrain I chose doesn't allow for beach lots. I also have an abandoned desert style hood that suffers the same fate, when it also doesn't make sense for the pool water to be shiny and chlorinated looking. I'm trying to experiment with skyboxes too just in case, but I just started experimenting with them and honestly find the idea that I have to put one on every lot annoying, but might find it worth it if it works/looks good. But skyboxes aren't the point of this post, overlays or a way to get rid of the teal tint near the ground of my pools are.

Could you post a picture, and let us know what lighting mod you are using please? I'm not sure whether a water overlay would help here or not. By the way, you can get neighbourhood skyboxes that don't require placing on every lot.

File was too large to post here, so I uploaded it there.
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the lighting mod I downloaded is this one: https://modthesims.info/d/133383/gu...2-beta-rc1.html
Also, what skyboxes are like that? That would be nice to know for the future.

Ah okay, so are you using the shader for the pool water? If you have seasons onward the default pool surface would be reflective, so you'd see sky and objects reflection too. I think you'd need to try messing with the pool shaders to make this look different.

These mods deal with the pool shaders, so you could take a look to see what they've done:

This one looks at a different method:

This is an overlay, it's designed for ponds so no idea if it would work for pools!

This is an example of hood skyboxes- there are loads available if you do an internet search, perhaps others could link some too?
