This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Win10 Bodyshop from Discs Crashing
I just installed all my discs onto Windows 10 and got everything for the game itself in check but bodyshop isn't working.

When I first opened bodyshop it would slow down and basically freeze my entire PC for a good two or so minutes before giving me a white bodyshop screen and a broken termination pop-up (it was a small white box and only had the x button).

I applied the 4gb patch to bodyshop itself and now it's loading up like normal but at the last second it gives me the termination pop-up (so I haven't actually gotten bodyshop to fully open).

I cleared caches, launched as admin, and copied the Graphics Rule/Video Cards into the CSBin. I'm not 100% how to make sure my graphics card is recognized but I did use the Graphics Rule Installer. I don't have anything Nvidia so most troubleshooting I've found can't help since I don't have Nvidia Control Panel.

Any help is greatly needed. Thank you!

Are you using Bodyshop from the latest EP (M&G/SP9)?

Have you tried without CC/mods (including UI mods and anything that could affect Bodyshop)? Could be you've got something that's crashing Bodyshop. It's always a good idea to make sure the "vanilla" version runs fine before adding stuff to it.

Yes I am using that version.

I can’t believe I forgot to mention that, I haven’t installed anything for the game yet, so it’s completely vanilla right now.

*Edit: I loaded it up again just to see and it fully loaded but the background is all pink. I'll look that up (if any advice on that I'd love help) but now I'm worried about why it randomly decided to open? Like if it's a fluke or it's gonna be really finicky. Time for more tests

*Edit 2: I loaded it up after doing nothing and it's back to crashing at the last second. I loaded it again and it opened to pink soup. So very finicky and unstable.

Pink background/items - it's a bug left over in the GRM, but fixable via the tickboxes.

Make sure you have the latest updated version of GRM (pre-2021 version has a glaring bug that causes pink flashing issues ingame and static pink issues in Bodyshop). Then make sure that you ticked the "Disable texture memory..." and "Enable driver's memory..." boxes. The first one is directly linked to the pink issue, and missing both could be related to the crashing.

It can cause issues ingame, too - especially if you start using CC, so you'll want to check that.

(You can also check the GraphicRules files to see if the lines are there, or add them in manually if GRM is giving you trouble - https://episims.tumblr.com/post/190970294337 )

I was able to do everything suggested except "disabling texture memory estimate adjustment" from the tumblr post. I checked the Logs and it wasn't under Device Properties but I do have it checked in GRM, so entering it manually is the next step but I can't figure how since I have AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT and not a Nvidia card.

I attached copies of my Graphics Rules and Video Cards files, plus pictures showing the GRM and Logs Settings in case they can be helpful.

(Also thank you for your responses and help!)
