I posted this question on the sims 2 and sims 2 help subreddit and got no response, so I am hoping I will get help here.

I downloaded a mod from insiminator that allows you to throw parties on community lots. According to the screenshots, I should be able to click on the sim when on a community lot and just throw a party. This option didn't appear, so I tried other options like the payphone, a normal phone and even the cellphone. Didn't work. I tried MidgeTheTree's version and this didn't work either.

I thought it was maybe a mod conflict, so I created a test hood and started removing mods and cc to find the culprit. And even when I got down to a completely vanilla game with only the community lot party mod in, it still didn't work.

I'm honestly just a bit confused now. Is there something obvious I am missing?

I don't know of a mod that lets you click on the sim to throw a party, the community lot party I use, and what I suspect you have, lets your sim use their mobile (cell) phone to throw the party. Either boolprop your sim a personal phone or have them buy one.
