Default Package file
I recolored my clothes, but they only show up as long as the project folder is still there. As soon as I deleted the project folder and left only the package file, the clothes stopped showing up. What did I do wrong? Please tell me. Is there a tutorial?

The project package file is not a completed recolor. You have to import that Bodyshop file into the game which will then place a completed package file into the Saved Sims folder. Once that is done, you can delete the project folder with no issues.

Projects can also be reused - very handy if you're making a lot of recolors of the same item (do "Import to game" between each recolor).

HobbesED, thanks so much for the tip! Now my clothing recolors are visible in the game, and I can share my work.
