Default Wellies (rain boots) for everyday adult Sims
In the UK, these are known as wellies (short for Wellington). It's your basic rain boot, and every rural dweller probably has at least one pair, for when it's muddy out and you need to trek across your property to mend a fence or something. Cocomama did an "everyday conversion for for teen boys" (from BV or something?) of a lumberjack outfit with what might work for boots, but I would prefer to also have the adult version, male and female, if possible. WAS there an adult version? Seems odd for there to only be a TM version of a "lumberjack" without there being a grownup one, too. Am I dense, and am just missing something obvious here? If anyone can point the way here, I'd be grateful. Or, if there's a good "mud boot" mesh elsewhere, separate bottom or with an appropriately farmer-ish getup, that'd be good too.

Thanks gang.

PS - They don't have to be green, as in the photo, but some adult-ish looking color would be nice. Duckie/frog boots are adorable on kids, but...

I was sure there must be separated lumberjack bottoms around, but I can only find separated tops - and all ages and genders of the full outfit - in Skell's BV Lumberjack completer post. There are recolours too, so it might give you some useful options.

You might need BV for Skell's completer, though. That's where the adult lumberjack outfits come from.

I made a gumboot bottom with stubbies, which I can assure you are perfectly acceptable farmer getup in NZ, just ask Wal Footrot. XD Might not be what you're looking for, though.

Ha! Looks like the way some of the kids used to walk around at camp. Y'know, I might as well just go ahead and install BV... it's overdue. Just a bit.

I was thinking that the "Compo Simmonite" outfit (from Britcom Last of the Summer Wine) might work, as the character is never seen without his Wellies. But, annoyingly, the outfit's creator has his "trousers" worn outside the boots, so they just look like weird green shoes.

My fishermen/woman wear this 4t2 Fisherman outfit. Good for farmers too.

AAS has some boots in their Regency section, but might be too fancy for farmers. https://web.archive.org/web/2013032...es_regency.html

Cupcakeyy has some more working class trousers here. https://simbury.tumblr.com/post/644...e-clothing-part

They're all on a mesh from OFB that might work for you as well.

The riding boots are okay; it's the skin-tight riding trousers that are a little disturbing
Cupcakey's "pig farmer" outfit looks more like the thing, but if they're also OFB-based, that's not gonna work for me, I'm afraid. I downloaded it anyway, just in case. I also found some brown boot accessories that I'm gonna playtest; we'll see which ones work and which won't.
