Hi, i'm really sorry if you've already answered this question or if it's me being kinda dumb. I recently re-downloaded the Sims Medieval and I got cheats and mods working and I also have the D3.dll file in my bin. All my other script mods and cc work fine and Grimscore works really well except for one thing. In the options tab when I try and click on the page for the mod it doesn't work it just continues to show the previous page I was on. I still get all the options that are available outside of that. I tried to use Grims debug enabler but that didn't help. Regardless of whether or not there are other mods in my folder, it's still the same. I've tried repairing and updating my Sims Medieval but that doesn't help. Do you have any suggestions?

Hey there.
Which version of the mod did you install?

Hi ok i hope it's ok to post here
So I got back into TSM after years of not playing and I really wanted to try this mod bc i remember using it a while ago and enjoying it, but now it's not working and if anyone could help it would be totally tubular
So when i launch the game with just this mod (and the intro disabler by the same author at least to see if the game recognizes that there are mods, which it does), it gets stuck on the loading screen. It never loads.

The game does know that there are mods as I can load cc and other mods just fine. It's also not a question of me not installing d3dx9_31.dll in Game/Bin because well, I have, and I can get *some* of the features from the Watcher's Hand mod, another script mod, to work, though not all. To be clear, I have removed TWH before trying Grim's medieval core.

I should be on the Latest Version As Of Current Year Or Something i don't know where I can see the exact number? I play the game through origin as I have no other choice so if that's relevant here it is. I have also tried every version of the medieval core (Beta and non-beta) and the issue persists.

ok here i go i hope it's ok to post on a 12 yo post the internet is forever

Not sure if this helps, but the mod wasn't showing up for me at all, and under programs(x86)>Electronic Arts>The Sims Medieval>Mods I added an additional folder along with the Packages folder called Overrides as I've also done for the sims 3, and put the core mod in there instead (deleted it from the packages folder). That fixed the issue for me at least, (you'll be able to tell whether it worked or not without going into a save file, as the icon on the loading screen/main menu will be changed for the mod)

Hey, don't know if you're still reading this but is it normal that when I click "Age child" the child disappears and the parent's relationship panel gets wiped?

Olá novamente!

I turned to LEEBBI to teach me how to translate mods, and she helped me promptly. I am very grateful to her for everything!
Now, I officially translate several mods into my language: Brazilian Portuguese (PT-BR).

LEEBBI created a tutorial on her blog. For those who wish to learn, the link is this: Tutorial: Translating a Mod\Custom Object

I hope you still have that desire. If you have any questions, just contact me: Tumblr Merlin Kilgharrah.
Good luck!

Hello, everyone! Recently I installed again TSM because I loved so much to play some years ago... But now I'm having two problems. I hope somebody can help me!

1) I have the Grim Core installed exactly where it should be, but it doesn't work... When I start the game, it doesn't appear the Grim Core entrance like it used to.

2) My game is crashing constantly when I try to go somewhere. Everything goes black and I can't press where I want to go (to the forest, to the village, anywhere)

Please, somebody help

Hi! You are likely missing the d3dx9_31 file. Refer to the mod installation guide here .

Hey so Ive been trying to get this to work for like an hour and can't figure out whats going on.
When I try to start the game it gets stuck on the loading screen after the startup video. I see where it says "Grim's Medieval Core" and the curser is spinning but the loading bar never advances.

Things I've done:
- Removed all mods BUT Grim's to make sure there were no compatibility issues.
- tried putting Grim's mod in a new folder with the path: "C:\Games\sims medieval\game\mods\packages\overrides"
- tried putting it in "C:\Games\sims medeival\game\mods\packages" AND "C:\Games\sims medeival\game\mods" as well
- tried ALL versions of Grim's core mod
- followed the Beginner's mod post and have the resource and DLL file in place
- patched game

I think maybe the dll could be the problem? currently it it is placed here:
folder screenshot

Which seems off to me because anytime i've added a dll file i'm either replacing a dll file, putting it in the install folder, or it is not alone in the bin folder. (by alone I mean there's at least one file not in a folder)
I have not done anything other than place the resource file in that install folder, replacing the one there, and adding the dll file to the bin folder. Im pretty sure my pathing is the issue but I just dont know why.

any help is appreciated!

Hi!! Not sure if this will help.

- GrimsMedievalCore_V_2_0_13_beta.package in this folder: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims Medieval\Mods\Packages;
- d3dx9_31.dll in here: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims Medieval\Game\Bin;
- Resource.cfg in here: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims Medieval;
- And I also applied this patch in the TSM.exe inside C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims Medieval\Game\Bin.

In my case I had to bought the original game because I wanted to have Pirates And Nobles and doing all this without buying it was not working for me.
But I believe for only the base game this should work! Let me know if it did
