I just finished watching the first episode of Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix.

I knew it! I knew my intuition about the samurai kept giving off certain vibes so it came to no surprise at the reveal at the end of episode 1. I mean it just made sense for various tell-tales throughout the episode. But that is so funny...oh peaches, lol.

3%, a post-apocalyptic thriller set in near-future Brazil, where a select few are allowed to join a privileged society after undergoing an intense and competitive process. I didn't expect this one to be so good. IMHO most Netflix productions suck, but this one was really good There's also one character I relate to.

Parasyte: The Grey

I watched the anime version called Parasyte -the maxim- but have not read the manga but I'm sure it's obviously good since the anime/live-action are both based on the manga. Though the main character is different in The Grey. I can't wait for season 2 with that ending.

Arcane

It's based on League of Legends which I heard about but never played and I don't think I ever will. But the animated series is more to my liking. Yeah, see I need to be reminded how much words can help or hurt. But everyone has a choice to deal with trauma in a positive way or a negative way. Hence one of my favorite tropes such as Naruto vs Sasuke. Another series I cannot wait for season 2. I'm also surprised it took me this long to finally watch this, it's really good.

My brother has finally showed interest in watching my beloved Twilight Zone, so lately I've been having a blast revisiting my favorite episodes with him. He isn't a big TV watcher, whereas I'm clearly predisposed to the Film & Literature hobby, haha. I finally realize for myself how Sims in TS2 must feel when they fulfill the "Talk About Hobby" want!

Anyone remember "The Water Margin?". A Japanese serial, set in medieval China, which the BBC screened an English dubbed version of, more moons ago than I care to count. As kids, myself and my siblings loved it (in spite of our father thinking it was silly nonsense) and we lapped it up. Well, during our sojourn in Singapore we were exposed to much Japanese T.V. and we were regular patrons of the magnificent Cathay cinema, watching martial arts movies that we'd have been too young get in to see back home. So, after returning to England, "The Water Margin" was something special.

Well, a while back, I managed to get a boxed set of the whole series from Amazon, and that's what I've been watching for that last few hours. Well, you know how it is: you say to yourself "I'll watch just two episodes, and then go to bed". And having enjoyed those two you say "Just one more, and then bed" and so on, and before you know it those two episodes have stretched out into ten. I've sixteen more to go, but I really must knock it on the head now.

So tomorrow night (or I ought to say tonight now) it'll be more adventures of from Liang Shan Po.

We kids all had our favourites among the 'Nine Dozen Heroes', of course, but who could fail to love Hu San-Niang? Even little girls who wanted to be ballerinas when they grew up enjoyed watching her kick seven bales of crap out of the bad guys.

Legend is history as we would like it to be. We pick through the dusts of time for what is worth keeping and, here and there, we occasionally find treasure.

Law and Order: Organised Crime

Was soooo not what I was expecting? Like those 3 expisodes that I was where whatshisface (Eric??) infiltrates the mob? Wild.

At first I was like who is this man and why is he familiar? The I realised it was detective man from the og series just bald, bearded and dressed casually (bad Bob Newbie lol) and with a more interesting storyline. A really good change to the usual Law and Order I think

TPOT (The Power of Two)
TPOT (The Power of Two)
Aka season 5 of BFDI (Battle for Dream Island)

TPOT 15 was CRAZY! I won't spoil the plot of it, but lets just say, its time changing

I really like the show (Heck my pfp is from a fan animation of Flower as different sims emotions)

Spoiler: I really hope Tree doesn't get eliminated after TPOT 15, even though its very likely! He's been in the bottom 2 for several episodes straight (I swear if DPYA loses one more time... )

I'm made Object Show CC and tried to upload a piece, but it was rejected.

I might try again later.

It's got an ensemble cast of Phil LaMarr (MADtv, Samurai Jack), Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants, Powerpuff Girls 1998 AKA Classic), Candi Milo (Dexter's Lab post-Cavanaugh, Cow and Chicken) and Tom Kane (Powerpuff Girls 1998, Wild Thornberrys, Kim Possible)

Phil LaMarr voices Wilt, a tall people pleaser who can't stand rude behavior, but is otherwise a gentle giant. His people pleasing trait can sometimes be his downfall. He is missing nearly all of his left arm and his left eye is damaged.

Tom Kenny voices Eduardo, an easily frightened, sensitive, protective, bilingual Muppet-like monster who speaks English, Spanish or sometimes switches mid sentence. Would never hurt flies (too afraid of them).

Candi Milo is the voice of Coco, an enigma of an imaginary friend who only clucks "Coco" as her language and lays plastic eggs with interesting surprises inside.

Candi Milo also voices Madame Foster, the woman who opened her Victorian mansion to function as an orphanage for otherwise abandoned imaginary friends. Madame Foster has a bit of a wild woman streak and it becomes more apparent after season 1. But she's otherwise sweet.

Tom Kane voices Mr. Herriman, Madame Foster's imaginary friend from her childhood who resembles a 6 foot rabbit in a waistcoat and top hat. He tends to expect very strict adherence to the rules and standards of appearances and maintenance of the mansion.

If there is a revival, Mr. Herriman's voice will likely be replaced, as Tom Kane suffered a stroke in the past couple of years and lost his voice, forcing him to retire.

Tom Kenny might get replaced. I can only hope that it retains the bilingual Cookie Monster tone Tom Kenny put into Eduardo in the original 2004 series.

Yeah, I have to consider that it's a 20 year old show and the times have changed since then.

OMG I LOVE FOSTERS!!!

Finally got around to watching Wheel of Time.
It's a continuous exercise in "but that's not how it is in the books!"

I get how they have to change up some things to make it work for the format, and that's fine... It's just that they get some things so completely wrong you're not sure if they "accidentally" screwed it up, or they're trying to sew in storylines where they don't belong, or inventing stuff for whatever purpose. Some things they actually manage to ruin for themselves (explaining things so it ruins the surprise/suspense), or they just pull the rug out of an actually good fight or plot point, but add in stupid things that weren't even in the books (goodness only knows this book series has more than enough padding already - removing unnecessary padding is fine, adding more where it's not needed is just bad).

Right now I'm jsut annoyed at *plot device* that got all the details wrong, got the looks entirely wrong, and which story arch it appears in (they're about 8-10 books too early).

If I manage to put the book series (mosly) to the side, and purely think of it as a TV series, it's decently made, and the effects aren't all that shabby. I have seen much worse tries at book-to-TV adaptions. Some of the characters aren't too far off how I imagined them (even if others were way off), but there are some annoying twists here and there that could become an issue unless they plan to rewrite various stuff (which they clearly are, though still...)

Renovation Aloha has been really nice so far.

I know nothing about Hawaii so its nice to see it on TV as a location for housing (the prices are yikes though). I've only seen a few episodes here and there so far and it seems that they're just 2 normal people with their crew getting things done nicely without any TV drama. That's always nice because we're watching for thier skills and experience not for their acting skills.

Watching this has made me think about what could be changed at home styling wise (our kitchen and bathrooms are too new to put more money into them lol). Hopefully I can at least convice the others for new living room annd dining room furniture because I'm sick of the stuff we have. Its ugly and isn't even comfortable anymore.

Watching Bonanza reruns. I noticed that they are always riding around the same hill; often there are bandits waiting for them at the other side, but they still haven't figured that out.
