Saw that these wall decoration from Ts2 Strangerville hadn't been converted and as a sci-fi nerd I just had to do it.
Comes in 4 different variations with repo-meshes and 4 recolors to match the other stuff from the pack.

Still some details to work on but looks good so far! :D

First time attempting a row of small houses. I have been playing around with the idea of having my richer sims buy properties and rent them to those who can't afford one yet. So far, I've played with flop houses and motels, but I want to move away from that for the moment. I have this 3x7 space in my downtown and I thought it'd be great if I could make 7 1x3 homes for 4-5 sims to occupy. I've done 3 so far, and I have to say: making small houses is kind of addictive.

Not CC perse, but a new soundtrack song for my upcoming Shifting Sands neighborhood. A relaxing "downtempo" track perfect for a Cafe.

Currently working on my Whiskerton neighborhood recreation project (Testers Wanted!) - from The Sims 2 Pets for console, so I made a few snapshots for Story Mode in a similar style to the premade neighborhoods' images, with the help of Paint and Photoshop. Some photos have the default blue background that gets generated with family portraits of CAS created sims because those households will be left in the family bin for players to move in.

Here they are:
  • Newbie:

  • Oakely:

  • Simpson:

  • May:

  • Hardiman:

  • Townsend:

  • (Peter) Arnold:

  • (Pat and Pam) Arnold:

Those snapshots look really nice @M.M.A.A. !

Makes me wish I had your skills; I'd love to have images like those for Plot of Land.

Thank you, HarVee! Really appreciate it!

I'd be more than happy to help you out! I know how exhausting it can be to edit those images and there's always an imperfection that I stumble upon - but am too tired to fix. I can take a look at Plot of Land if you'd like and try to put together something (with your guidance).

At the moment my RPC setup is BG + Pets only, so I don't know if it's possible to have more than one setup so I can test your neighborhood with all EPs/SPs + the required CC.

Maybe if you're up to it, I could take some HD screenies, and send them to you? This way you don't have to redo your setup, and we could still work together.

That would be perfect!

To make things easier, set up Sims in front of a blank wall (paint) and on a blank floor (carpet/misc). Makes cropping them in Photoshop way easier.

I was a bit under the weather last night and through the first part of the day, so all I could do was sit around. it resulted in a mad recolouring spree! Through a sleepless last half of the night and first part of today, I made:

Neon signs for the bridal store I want for Little Stokkola.
Damask linen tablecloths on Cassandres mesh in 18 colours.
The same eighteen colours of a nice rug on Nengi's mesh.
A ton of extremely varied recolours of Bella Squared. My sims have very different tastes, and all of them should have at least something they like!
(Not in picture, because colours wouldn't look good together)
A floor with the texture of the Uldum rug, so I can have it in the children's area in Little Stokkola's library)
A simlish gamer themed receolour of Honeywells photo backdrop so my game developer can use it as a livestream background (in my head. He's really just blogging about games)
Twentyfour new wallpapers in a retro pattern and some shades of wallpaint (The very dark purplish brown or black is actually in the picture, now that I think of it).

I feel like my head is spinning a bit now!

I'm aware this thread hasn't had a reply for 3 months, but I'd rather post this here rather than bother other threads with it! Anyway, here are Grand Theft Auto 2 inspired roads! Ready for my new neighborhood project.

For reference:

So while not an exact 100 percent replica, the TS2 roads I made do still manage to scream Anywhere City.

Continuing my GTA2 theme, I've began converting GTA2 textures into TS2. Unfortunately the GTA2 textures are pathetically small in size (64x64) so I need to AI upscale them. Below is the first flooring done. A cream brick which matches perfectly with the cream walls I've been using on my GTA2 lots.

This is how the first converted floor looks in-game, I've had to 8x AI upscale it:

...And this little guy is the original texture from the GTA2 game:

You had to what them? Never heard of AI upscaling before.

It's a technique that uses AI to increase the resolution size of an image file. Results often vary however, depending on the method of upscaling used. ESRGAN is a popular one which usually offers decent results.

In that particular example, using the shown wall texture probably would've given a better result for the floor (they look almost identical). The GTA texture seems to get some shadowed artefacts around the sides instead of having a seamless look. My guess is that the AI is causing the artefacts, because the original texture looks seamless.

TS2 walls already have textures with 512px horizontally, so they're seamless that way. You'd just have to maybe stretch them a bit (512x768, I think) and chop at the right spot vertically to get it seamless the other way too, for a floor texture.

If you then wanted the texture itself to have smaller bricks than the wall, you could make a seamless 1024x1024 texture and resize to 512x512.

There were artifacts because of the crap model I used.

I re-ran the GTA2 texture through real-Esrgan (a different model from what I used before), the result this time was nearly spot on, and, it also got rid of most of the artifacts you mention. Texture was a little blurry so I had to sharpen it, but the result is really good:
