Here I am again, nearly 20 years later. I'm honestly so happy to see my account is still on here, along with some of my older (cringe) posts. So crazy to see all the usernames of people I used to talk to. I wonder if any are still around from 2006-2008ish?

A little about myself to (re)introduce me.

My name's Emily. I'm 34 years old now, and I used to be an avid Sims player back in the golden days of Sims 2 and 3. I still play Sims 3 every now and then, and occasionally 4 (although I think 3 is superior in most ways). I'd been keeping my ear to the ground for news on Project Rene, but I'm not really sure what's happening there anymore I'm also really excited for Paralives which looks promising.

So where have I been? Other than going off to uni to study, then getting roped into the world of employment (I'm currently an AI developer) I started playing MMOs like LOTRO, WoW and FFXIV which absorbed a significant chunk of my life. It's bittersweet looking back on here, because I had so much fun - especially in the RP section of the forum. If anyone is still into that kind of thing, hit me up. I'd LOVE to get another one on the go! In my spare time these days I've started writing again, so looking for any and all ways to flex my creative muscles and shake off some of the dust.

For all those I don't know, nice to meet you! And for anyone who I might know from back in the day - I'd be SO HAPPY to hear from you again!

Wow, an AI developer! Nice to meet you @Haylifer ! I think I remember you, your profile is so old that it has a join date of 30th Nov 1999 (I think this was a glitch from the days when the forum was split into two sites- Modthesims2 and Sims2community- then merged back again, I know of another profile that has this phenomenon too). Great that you are back on here, I hope you'll be posting some pictures and telling us about your game on the community section of the site. We have a thread about Paralives, too (look in community> other sims games). I seem to remember that the RP section disappeared along with the community site, not sure if there is anywhere to do that here now. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if you told me I did join in 1999. I had a ton of CC for Sims 1 and lil 10 year old me made some of my own in MS Paint. It looked horrific, as you can imagine, as I didn't get how meshes worked ^^ I think I got most of my CC from TSR back then, before Sims 2 and all the pay-site drama (god what a ride! This is dragging up soooo many memories!)

And all of my RPs are still up! <3 I'll be here the next few hours re-reading every single one of them. Right, I'm making it my mission to revive TS2 RP games. Just need to find some players now... I'm gonna slide into the discord once I'm done with work

Hi, don't know if we have talked before or not. I've been here since 2007 but probably didn't post much back then, maybe not until the Exchange closed.
But yeah, still here and still playing Sims 2. Sims 2 is still very much relevant here and on Tumblr and we have cookies to offer to lure you back.

From what I have heard there will be no Sims 5, Project Rene is some kind of side project of Sims 4. Honestly I doubt anyone pays it much notice, people are more interested in Paralives or converting whatever sims 4 pack comes out to Sims 2. Don't hear much about Sims 3 but pretty sure it still has a decent following.
