Default Overwhelmed by EA
I haven't been logged in here for a while, but I've been keeping up to date with the Sims via YouTube.
So much has happened lately, with the 25th anniversary, that I feel overwhelmed and have lost the desire to play.
Does anyone feel the same or similar?

I just think they're doing their own thing, and I'm here doing my thing, not really caring too much. I've got a TS2 version that currently isn't dependent on EA, so for now I'm fine in that department.

Kinda keeping track of TS4 via some people I sometimes watch on Youtube and a couple other channels (more passively than actively seeking it out), but honestly haven't played in 2-3 years, and haven't bought a pack since the one with pets (been looting a few freebie packs when they've been on offer, but that's all).

How much it affects you probably depeds on which games you play and which version(s) you've got, though. TS2 Legacy users might have a rough time just about now, until all the issues are smoothed out, and I can absolutely understand being overwhelmed if you're a TS4 player, since they don't even let you catch a breath until they throw another thing at the already-threatening-to-collapse wall (usually riddled with bugs).

The constant in-game events have made TS4 so annoying to play that the return of TS2 is a godsend. It started with the Grim Reaper stuff and it's .....just......never......stopped. I haven't bought any packs since For Rent.

Thank you, I needed to hear that. I didn't realize I might be stressing about things that don't even affect me. Despite that, I still don't feel like playing any of the sims games (I played mostly ts2 and sometimes ts4 and ts1).

I am still playing TS3. I personally feel it was the best installment.

Trying to keep up with TS4 is harder.

I would probably buy add-ons for the game if they're on sale. It's an expensive game, but I fight with my obsession of completing everything to 100%. My current obsession is with the Living Pokédex Project and since the Scopely\Niantic takeover, I quit Pokémon GO when I found out that there could be a likelihood of my info being used.

Well, back to good old-fashioned Switch gaming.

As for The Sims 4, I may consider buying it some add-ons once I get the price figured out for the Nintendo Switch 2. (So far, I have about $39 saved up for the console and the game Pokémon Legends Z-A.)

For now, I will have to get some rest. I had a tough morning.

TS4 is overwhelming. Too many options. Too many details. Waaaay too scripted. On the other hand, I am beyond thrilled to have easy access to Sims 1 on every computer.

Addicted to The Sims since 2000.
