When The Sims2 originally existed, I made a lot of recolors (and a few meshes, but that's another story). I desperately want to use them in the legacy version. Is this possible? If so, how?

For Bodyshop/CAS items:
These should still work fine with Legacy. No reason they shouldn't work.

As long as you made the files the proper way (imported to game, kept the SavedSims files and NOT the Project package files), everything should be fine.


For objects:
Anything that isn't tied to the IKEA pack should in theory work fine for Legacy. If you find something that doesn't work, you may want to make sure you've installed everything you need, especially the CEP.

I'm not sure how the CEP works with Legacy, but other than the install using different paths and such (and no IKEA), I'm guessing it's much the same - you'll need the CEP for recolors of a lot of EAxis items to show up (regardless of whether you use Legacy or other versions).
