Howdy! I've been on a nostalgia trip downloading CC I used back when I was younger, so naturally I've been combing through various old websites, archives and the like.
XM Sims 2 in particular is very nostalgic and dear to me. Their website is still up but when I try to download, let's say by right-clicking the picture/link, it's as if something happens briefly then nothing - the new tab will open then instantly close. I then went there on the Wayback Machine, and was able to find working links up until page 18 of the female hairstyles - then after that, I get the ''this page hasn't been archived'' message. Bummer!

This might be a long shot but I wanted to ask if anyone here knows of an archive/website/similar where XM Sims 2 files can be found? I'd really love to get more of them. I've tried searching for simfileshare folders but nothing. And I suppose it is to be expected given how long XM Sims has stayed online, just that the links aren't working anymore.

Any help /pointers would be much appreciated

Have you tried the hair database?

edit: I couldn't find working links for some hairs around the 18-22 page mark, but I've found plenty hairs I absolutely did want so it's alright. I suppose I could always download a mesh from a maxis match bundle and a retexture from somewhere else, but I was really going for the authentic XM Sims feel.

I tried downloading from XM Sims. I left clicked on the link and Edge flagged it as an insecure download. I told it to ignore that and it downloaded fine. Was a hair well past 18-22.

So make sure that something on your computer isn't blocking it. I don't know why old sites often get that message, but telling it to download anyway works (and my computer hasn't yet exploded from the supposed insecure files XD).
