Chapter 4: Bathroom Confession

Jennifer walked into the bathroom bumping into a freshmen girl.


Jennifer: Oh my god..am so sorry



Freshmen: Its fine....really...hey sorry to hear about....Tiffany

Jennifer nodded and just smiled.

(Jennifer quickly scanned the room to see if anybody else was in there with her. She went for a tissue and began to tear up. The door opened and in walked her boyfriend Taylor)

Jennifer: Taylor!?

(Taylor quickly engaged her with a hug. Jennifer couldnt hold in. She began to cry on his shoulder. It's what she needed)

Taylor: I heard what happened...

Jennifer: Who hasnt? Police and the news channels all over Woodsberry..I cant believe it Taylor. I just can't. This all seems so unreal, like am in a nightmare.

Taylor: What did you hear?

Jennifer: just that her body was found this morning. They havent given any details of how she died.



Taylor: How are the girls holding up?

Jennifer: In shock..

Taylor: I think we all are.

Jennifer: Yasmine just seems-I-

(Taylor looked at her suspicous)

Taylor: Yasmine what?

Jennifer: Its nothing..nothing at all.

Taylor: Hey look at me...its me. Taylor. Your boyfriend. You can talk to me about anything. You know that.

Jennifer: Its just seems like she's not acting herself. Like she's hiding something.

Taylor: I heard Jason had something to do with it. Do you think its something to do with Tiffany or Jason?

Jennifer: I dont know...I just know shes hiding something.. Like she's holding back...

Taylor: Look how bout we meet up later tonight? Sound good?

Jennifer: Sounds good.

(Taylor gave her a small kiss and quickly snuck out. Jennifer began to clean her self up. Then she heard a noise. She spun around to see what it was. The stall door opened and Yasmine walked out. Jennifer stood there shocked)



Jennifer: Yasmine! I didnt know you were in here..



Yasmine: Funny....I knew you were

Chapter 5: Funerals have secrets...

Preist: Tiffany Hillson was taken long before her time. We mourn not her lost but ours and so this is the time for those of us left behind to share our burdon together....united...Amen.



(Jennifer contunied to stare at Mrs.Hillson. She herself couldnt help but noticed the strong resembalance between her and Tiffany. They looked exactly like twins)





(It had been a few days since the incident in the bathroom. Ever since Yasmine has acted like it never happened. However Yasmine kept her distance and everytime she texted our emailed her she never replied. It was useless to even call her. She always ended up at her voicemail. Jennifer looked over to see if Yasmine had noticed her at all.)



(After the funeral people began parting ways and Jennifer walked up to Yasmine)

Jennifer: Yasmine how long or we gonna keep this up?

Yasmine: Jennifer were at a funeral...have some respect? Sasha you coming?

(Sasha quickly parted ways with Yasmine. It was as if Yasmine had become the leader of the social scene)

Jennifer stood there when she heard a noise in the bushes..she could of sworn she heard her own name. Then she heard it again. Jennifer slowly strode over to the bushes when she was pulled in. She tried to scream but a hand covered her mouth. She saw that it was Jason and he was telling her to be quiet)



Jennifer: What the hell is your problem?

Jason: Shhhhh am not trying to hurt you....I need to talk to you.

Jennifer: Can't you talk to me like a normal human being? Why you trying to be all secretive?

Jason: Listen...I had to keep a low profile. The police or all over me. Plus am not really suppose to be here.

Jennifer: Why not? Did you have-

Jason: Did I what? What?! Have something to do with Tiffanys murder? Just say it...thats what everyone else thinks..No..I didnt have nothing to do with her murder.

Jennifer: Its all over the news...Why me?

Jason: Look...no one really knows the truth..truth is-

Jennifer: They didnt have enough evidence to prove that you werent there? hmm

Jason: No...you think I would kill anyone? Huh? God no..and no there wasnt enough evidence because there is none..truth is...I was sleeping with Yasmine.

Jennifer: WHAT? Did Tif know?

Jason: of course, she found out....thats why the police think that I had something to do with it....

Jennifer: oh my god....I cant believe this..So why me? Why not go talk to Yasmine?

Jason: She doesnt wanna talk to me...shes ignoring me..Look theres something I need to tell you. I-

(Jennifer! a voice called)

Jason: I kept something from the police...That night I was there at Tiffanys.

Jennifer: What were you doing there?

Jason: She found out about me and Yasmine...so I went there to talk to her...but someone else was there..look I know I can trust you...will meet up later tonight...in private....i'll be in touch.

Chapter 6: First Impressions are always the best.

I kept thinking what Jason said at the funeral. That he knew something, we were suppose to meet but he never showed I waited 2 hours at the hilltop near the outskirts of the town. I didnt tell anyone. I called and texted he never replied. It was dangerous of me to do so but I needed to find out more and latley it seemed I was the only one who really cared.

I sat there in biology hearing Mrs.Frankins talk her ear off when the principal came in. It was bad enough I wasnt fully all there paying attention since my mind was on Jason's secret. Not to mention that the school board had automatically made the school become a uniform dress code. Since Tiffanys death the city council has been desperatley trying to promote a safe and classy town reputation among the news and people global. Woodsberry was known as the little rich high class town. The last thing on there agenda they needed was to be known as a town with a "KILLER" reputation.

A young girl followed in by her.

Mrs.Frankins: Class I want to welcome Woodsberry High's newest transfer students, Miss.Kelly Herring.





Mrs.Frankins: Maybe one of you would like to show her around after class? hmm? anyone? How about you Jennifer? You feel up to it?

(Jennifer stumbled for a second. How could she be picking her of all people. Why not Bobby Jenson or Mike Vance? She just lost her bestfriend for godsakes)

Jennifer: Umm Yea of course Mrs.Frankins of course.


(AFTER CLASS)

Jennifer: So how do you like it so far?

Kelly: Its great! Lots of news cameras here about that girl..Did you know her?

Jennifer: Ummm she was my bestfriend.

Kelly: Oh my god...am so so so sorry. I-I didnt know.

Jennifer: Its fine...where did you transfer from again?

Kelly: Sunny Side Hills ... Familar?

Jennifer: Yea thats past FootHills right? Towards the ocean....my dad goes out there alot...or use to I mean...

Kelly: Awesome..

(As they turned the corner they bumped into some familiar faces)

Yasmine: Watch were you going...

Jennifer: Yasmine...

Yasmine: Jennifer..





Jennifer: Whats your problem?

Yasmine: My problem? I dont have one...oh wait on second thought...your my problem....backstabber

(Kelly stepped in)

Kelly: Hi am Kelly! I just transfered to this school..

Yasmine: Sasha was I talking to her?

Sasha: Nope... (She said coldly)

Yasmine: Thought so....

(Yasmine and Sasha moved past them walking down the hall like the divas they were)

Jennifer: Hey Yasmine!

(The students became quiet)

Jennifer: At least I dont sleep around with my dead best friends boyfriend!

(The crowd in the hall could be heard gasping and dead silence was all that whimpered through the hall)

(Yasmine turned around slowly and walked back up to Jennifer and leaned in forward)

Yasmine: Keep it up bitch....you'll wind up dead...just like Tiffany.



Jennifer stood there stunned....did she just say what she thought she said? How could she? Yasmine Conners would never say such a thing.....but she did............

Chapter 7: EAST END IS A DEAD END...REALLY.

Jennifer and Kelly stood there while Yasmine and Sasha made there way out of the hall.



Kelly: Okay....Repunzel has some MAJOR issues.

(Jennifer couldnt help but laugh)

Jennifer: C'mon lets gets some air.


OUTSIDE



Kelly: Jennifer you totally have to let me know the inside scoop on the two skanks from HELL!

Jennifer: I told you we all use to be bff's and now were enemies....stupid huh? and there not skanks....

Kelly: Enemies? Yes....and as for skanks your right....there not just skanks...there high class skanks.

Jennifer: Your funny you know that?

Kelly: Your not too bad yourself. Look I know you just lost your friend so dont worry am not gonna ask you about what just happened its none of my business...unless you want it to be?

(Kelly let out a small giggle)

(Then 3rd period bell rang)

Jennifer: Looks like were late...catch up later?

(Kelly sighed)

Kelly: of course silly

(Jennifer smiled and departed from Kelly as they went there seperate ways)



Jennifer sat in her desk trying to make expressions as if she were truly paying attention to Mr.Ward. The truth of the matter is that she wasnt. Her mind was spinning with a million questions. Tiffany murdered...Jason's still hadnt got back to her about this "secret" and not to mention her bestfriend's have turned against her and as if anything else couldnt get much worse what if there was a killer here in Woodsberry Hills. The thought of it made her cringe. Jennifer had been waiting back to hear from Jason but nothing. She called and no one answered...she texted and no reply. Then a buzz began to go off in her bag. She skimmed the room to see if anybody was watching her. The coast was clear as she peeked into her bag. Her cell was lit up on the screen with the words, "NEW TEXT MESSAGE". She looked around the room once more then with anticipation she flipped open the phone. Jennifer wondered who it could be from. The text message says its from Jason. She couldnt believe it. Now he was just getting back to her? She opened the new message. It read,

"MEET ME IN THE GIRLS BATHROOM IN THE EAST END OF THE CAMPUS"
-JASON

(Jennifer stood up and walked to the front of the class)

Mr.Ward: Jennifer is there something wrong?

Jennifer: No Mr.Ward...but may I use the restroom pass?

Mr.Ward: Of course.

Jennifer skimmed down the halls not trying to run. She already knew why he would want to meet on the East End side of the school. That part of the school was deserted. She couldnt help but wonder why he was hiding and as well as what he was hiding. She arrived to the bathroom and slowed down. She hesitated to open the door and then she pushed through.





She couldn't believe it.....there stood Jason's body hung from the ceiling with a knife on the floor and blood all over his body. All that could be heard were screams.....horrifying screams.......

Chapter 8: An Unpleasant Gift..

Jennifer: THERE WAS SOMEONE ELSE OUT THERE! I'VE ALREADY TOLD YOU ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEEDED TO KNOW! WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND DETECTIVE? WHY DON'T YOU BELIEVE ME!?



Detective Pleasant: I understand its hard Jennifer...first Tiffany now your other classmate....but as far as it looks, this is what the case seems to be turning out to look like.

Jennifer: No...No..Jason wouldn't do that...he wouldnt.

Detective Pleasant: Killers act on fear, Lies, and Deception. You have to leave this to the professionals.

Jennifer: Jason's not a killer. HE'S NOT!

Detective Pleasant: how do you know that? huh?

Jennifer: I-I-

Detective Pleasant: My point exactly..Thank you for your time.

Jennifer: Thats it? huh?



Detective Pleasant: He killed himself of the guilt and pressure of killing Tiffany...Might I remind you Jennifer, she was stabbed 13 times, her right hand missing and not to mention her eyes plucked out..If that doesnt sound like a killer to you Ms.Gavins you've got problems. The knife had his hand prints all over it. The same knife that was used of the murder of Tiffany Hillson....the prints of the knife match exactly. He hung himself and stabbed himself....a sick lunatic killer...guilt Ms.Gavins....guilt. How can one live with themselves after commiting such a crime like this one.

Jennifer: No....I refuse to believe it. He wouldnt do such a thing...you didnt know him like we did..

Detective Pleasant: OH is that right Ms.Gavins? I didnt know your friends like you did? Would this happen to be the same friend that had an affair with your other best friend? Your best friend you know so well that you didnt even know an affair was taking place? The same friends that hid secrets and lies from you. Would that be the same friends? Let me give you some advice kiddo.....I said it once and i'll say it again..Leave this to the professionals. I didnt graduate at the top of my academy for nothing. Am good at my job its what I do best. An officer can escort you out until your ride arrives, Now GOODNIGHT.

(Jennifer stood up to meet Detective Pleasant face to face. She eyed her and made her way to the door. Jennifer grabbed the door handle and pulled open but before she made her way out she eyed back at the Detective and called out for her)

Jennifer: I already knew you good at your job....I just didn't know you were such a bitch.

OUTSIDE

Jennifer rumbled through her mind of everything that had taken place. Was there really a killer in Woodsberry and if it were true what and who were behind these attacks and why? A shiver ran up her spine and made her cringe.



(Then Taylor pulled up and ran out of his truck with open arms)



(Jennifer began to cry and mutter)

Taylor: Am here baby...am here

YASIMES HOUSE



She washed her body away from the tears and pain. But most of all she tried to wash away the fear that lurked beneath her. The same fear that made her unable to sleep at night.

(Then the power went off)



Yasmine: DAMMIT!

She tried not to let fear run through her mind but as much as she tried to block it she couldnt.

(Suddenly the power switched back on.)

Yasmine! A all to familar voice called out.

Yasmine Honey it was just the power. Her mom called from the other side of the door. Yasmine got dressed and as soon as she was opening her bathroom door the phone began to go off.

Yasmine picked up. Only to hear Sasha on the other end.



Sasha: How you holding up?

Yasmine: Am okay...everything is just all a little too much...ya know?

Sasha: Its so weird. The town is having a 24 hour patrol system in all the area for extra precaution..and not to mention an earlier curfew 9'Oclock.

Then she heard something outside her window. Yasmine didnt respond..leaving a silence on the phone line between her and Sasha.



Sasha: Yasmine! Hello...Yasmine! Are you there???

Yasmine: Yea hold up a sec...

Yasmine crept forward to peek through the window. She looked through not seeing anything. She quickly pulled her curtains down.

Yasmine: Sorry...I thought I heard a weird noise..

Sasha: Is everything okay?

Yasmine: Yea...I'ma call it a night Sasha...Talk to you tommorow..nite.

Yasmine remembered her bathroom window she had left open and quickly ran to shut it. She locked it and peeked through the window. All she could see and hear were the trees and crickets. She quickly pulled the curtains down. It was bad enough her family lived out in woods were there private estate was located at.



She entered her room to find a vase on her small white table. A vase that was not there a moment ago. She had never owned a vase like this before nor has she ever seen one particulary like this.



She walked over to it slowly. Her eyes focused only on the vase. She uncovered the antique vase. She gasped, inside the vase was a hand. A hand that belong to a girl she once knew. A hand that had been missing at a crime scene. A hand that belong to another. Inside it was a small red piece of paper and in black sharpie writing wrote SURPRISE...



Yasmine quickly turned around with fear..The window that she had shut was open with a draft breezing through....someone was there. Someone had been in there with her...someone was watching... She screamed and headed towards the door. All she could think about was the killer...the killer who had been watching her................
