I'm pretty sure copy/pasting files and changing GUIDs will cause some troubles, since the new file won't be a proper clone (cloning changes several things, which makes the file stand apart from the original). Besides, if I can't change GUIDs on the clone without a million problems cropping up, I don't think it will work on a copy of the file. The extra GUIDs are referenced in the BHAVs, possibly also other places, and that's where one of the problems are. If there was just one GUID that didn't pop up in a dozen places I'm not used to finding GUIDs, things would have ben a lot easier...
