It's also quite offensive to imply that the contest will be unfair or biased against you.

I don't think there should be any problem. The console Castaway games were marketed as Sims 2, and Castaway Stories used a version of the Sims 2 game engine. Also a lot of stuff from Castaway Stories has been ported to the main game as CC -- quite a few of my Sims have Castaway loincloths in their wardrobes, and some of them wear them all the time! (See the additional pictures in my entry for Round 2 in the recent building contest.) As for not being modern, a lot of people here play medieval or other non-modern neighbourhoods. @Charity will doubtless give you a definitive answer, but I'm almost certain you'll be all right.

Wonderful Technically castaways is just seasons+pets with new clothing and fancy water/lava. It even contains the seasons added clothing and hair in the files. You can make pets like normal if you modify the ui files : )

The original calendar contests were for Sims 2, 3 and 4. I posted in the Sims 3 and Sims 4 forums, but got only one person interested from Sims 3 and none from Sims 4.

I figured that I'd give each thread a bump and then give up on them, but the TS3 bump has shaken out a couple more people who are interested.

They don't have enough people to do a TS3 calendar on their own, but we don't have a huge number of pics here either yet.

Would anyone object if I invited them to join us here and have a calendar with a mix of TS3 and TS2 pics? I know that some people might not want TS3 pics in a calendar that's going on TS2 sims' walls.

So let me know by ...

Agree - I have no problem with joining the calendars and having a mix of pics
Disagree - I want just a TS2 calendar

Or comment if you want to say anything.

I think we already had a mixed game entries before so I wouldn't object if that would finally be the case. Most EA wall arts are converted from game to game anyway, and it wouldn't be much of a big deal (imo) seeing TS4 portraits on a TS3 game for example.

I'll leave it until tomorrow, as I've posted in TS3 and TS4 forums to come over here if people are interested and just to make sure there are no disagrees. If there are no problems, then I'll change the original post to be for all games.

A few things to think about if we do open it up.

Are the rules as stated for TS2 fine for TS3 and TS4 as well, or should there be other things added? - I'm looking at you here, TS3/TS4 people.
Should people be allowed to upload for multiple games and if so should the two picture rule stay or is it two pictures per game? - The more the merrier, as far as I'm concerned.

I can try, but I have limited experience with S3PE and Sims 4 Studio. Can anyone help with setting up the calendars for TS3/TS4?

Okay, no responses, so I will:

Presume that the rules as is are fine for TS3/TS4.

Decide on my own and I say two pictures per game. If you submit pics for all games then you can have up to six.

I just remembered.

I'm pretty sure that 'no photo editing' refers to Photoshopping the hell out of it. I don't see why resizing would be a problem.

Alright, so far we have 6 entries, which only covers half a year (and requires no voting on).

I originally slated the contest to finish on 31st October, but would it help, especially seeing as it was only just opened up to TS3/TS4, if I made it 30th November instead?

Still plenty of time to get things wrapped up before Christmas/New Year.
