I actually don't mind poor ol' Rod coming over to deliver his PC. Who says 'no' to a free PC with The Sims 3 pre-installed?!

I have a hack that asks if he should come.

I highly recommend!

Poor Mr Humble! The man just wants to give your Sim a free computer with The Sims 3 pre-installed, but in return, you give him death!!!

I wonder what the real Mr Humble in real life would think about people despising his Sim.

I love the real Rod Humble, listening to his LifeByYou playthroughs were like having a bedtime story read to you by an affable uncle. I wonder what he's doing now?

I have that hack along with this one so sometimes he shows up and if he does you get the chance to refuse the gift. He showed up about 20 days after my one family moved in, which was odd but at least they're not getting harassed by him and the welcome wagon at the same time.

He should've thought of the consequences as someone from his team suggested to create a permanent one-time NPC character based on him that hands out free computers to every single household, current and future... EA knew people kill Sims for fun - there are hints about it in Broke and Specter households already. They just thought making him an object Sim would protect Rod, oh were they wrong!

Yes, instead of people loving his Sim because he gives a free computer with The Sims 3 preinstalled (which just showcases a trailer and the song playing is ripped off from The Sims 1) to the Player's sim, we have hacks that obliterate Rod Humble, and i've even seen a video that turns Rod into a Zombie!

Holy shit this thread got derailed

And this is after the sims only just moved in!

I can't believe that this is the first time I've noticed that 'choosen' misspelling in all these years!

What misspelling?
The past participle of the word choose is chosen, not choosen!

Edit: Unless you're talking about where that misspelling is from: it's from the Rod Humble pop-up that shows up when he visits the lot, I think just before the "open it, I say" part.

Yes, thank you. I haven't actually paid attention to the pop-up in ages, it's one of the ones I just see, click, and move on.

Same, which is probably why I only noticed the misspelling when someone posted a picture of it.

To add to the topic title:

I did once manage to grill an adult-looking baby Sim with the OMGWTFBBQ - if I remember correctly, the key was that the game ran at speed 3 but was extremely laggy (with less than 1 FPS per second). If memory holds up that makes sense as I cloned said Sim ~100 times before (who grew up to an adult during the same game session, resulting in 100 "adult babies clones").

In general it seems to me that some animations or even checks are skipped when the game is laggy but told to integrate at speed 3, so the error appearing when trying to grab an adult baby would not occur and cancel the interaction (IIRC it complains about a missing bone in the baby model? Would match my memory then). It seemingly also leads to other things like particles getting stuck.

Me, as I tag the latest comment above as helpful, but I do not want to grill adult babies in TS2.

So it's possible to grill Knut Futa?

It isn't a Japanese word. It's an English word for a Japanese couple (ironically with the same 'chosen' 'choosen' misspelling).

I misremembered that choosen was a japanese word meaning like wanted or hired and that since the meanings are similiar theyre also called chosenshipping.

Either way the meaning is the same and choosenshipping AND chosenshipping are the same Silver x Green ship name spelt differently. Unless its more based on the games in that case its called ReturnToStartShipping. (Silver x Leaf)

And either way its still two characters from alternate/fantasy Kanto in a Japanese series.

Imagine Sims had ship names like that. We have some common portmanteau, mostly for Strangetown. Or for a specific story or legacy.

PasNerv (Pascal and nervous), Dossanina (Cassandra X don X Nina), JoPheRipp (johnny x ophelia x ripp), Nerin (nervous and erin), Tycutio (tybalt x mercutio), Tankgela (tank x Angela), Tanmeric (tank x almeric), Stelldric (stella x aldric) (and a variant for stella with that one dormie she crushes on), Lokund (loki x Vidcund), Franceau (frances x beau) are what I have seen.

Ruby x Sapphire is FranticShipping.

Frantic means distraught with fear.

In japanese, choose would be equivalent to chūsu or chūzu, and chosen is still chosen. BUT chōsen also means challenge in japanese. But choosen would be pronounced as chūsen. As choose with a n at the end.
