I'm trying to figure out how to make patterns. I can do some very simple things using shades of the same color to make a pattern, but I can't separate the colors in GIMP and put them into the pattern and have it look like the original. I am dyslexic and need step by step with pictures. From what I have found it looks like I need to Decompose the image into channels then paste them into the channels on a blank image. I have tried looking at the GIMP manual but I'm just not getting it. Is there anyone out there that can help me with patterns?
