So I finally got my laptop back and I need to install TS3 again. When it comes to patching, is it best to patch the base game before I install the EPs or should I patch the game after I have installed all the EPs?

If there is a theard about this then I'm sorry, but I coul'nt find it. It is almost impossible to find the right theard when they are titled as "I really need help"?

No need. I never did.If you have problems patching or after, try the superpatch. Even if the launcher says you're patched, the launcher sometimes reports you are not. The superpatch is the best way to go in that case.

I can't seem to be able to install the super patch. Everytime I time I click the link it says 403 Forbidden..

If you are installing from discs, install base game, use super patch for 1.67, see post above for link. Then add EPs and SPs in release order (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sims_3).
Ignore any warnings about patch levels until you are done.

Because if you install the super patch and all the eps after, those eps won't be patched.
