Default How To Get Rid Of Zombies Completely With No Mods
I got so annoyed with the zombies I turned off the lunar cycles to a single phase, set at half moon. The full moon triggers the zombies to come out when you have Supernatural installed. here is a photo of my options to set my moon at a permanent half moon, it may be unrealistic but again so are the zombies eating my plants_____________darn zombies That's only if you want no zombies at all, or different moons, but I rarely look into the sims sky even though it is beautiful. I have the master patch and it don't ever move back to the default for me either when restarting the game.

all they do is growl at the air and bite sims, and I hate that I can't interact with them, I would love to throw a drink in their face and I can't do that so off they go

And In the options you can turn off supernatural sims altogether in the population panel right next to the weather panel. in the photo

click the photo for a bigger size!!

Mods are OK and I think that most hardcore simmers know this already but I figured this thread is worth a shot!

if you want Zombies every single day just the lunar phase to full that way you get zombies every night

all heard was complaining and found that nobody mentioned this before in the threads I saw so here it is

I already know this is not new

I don't know if this would work cause I don't have Supernatural, but this trick worked to get rid vampires all together from Late Night. After unchecking the vampire population from the population control settings menu, I deleted/removed the Bridgeport map from the LN folder. I never found any vampire in any world I played or travelled since then, maybe by deleting or moving Supernatural map would worked the same to get rid all of them.

I found @PapaEmy that it is better to do set no supernaturals and any wanted options before you start a new game, although I never played in the supernatural neighborhood, but i know i works for Riverview and Sunset Valley.

I love my neighborhoods so I won't ever delete my neighborhoods unless I created them Myself and didn't want them anymore. It cost a lot of money buying those worlds that are pre-built and not custom. plus I love Bridgeport and the vampires fit in well there, not sure what my options were set to back when I played it, but I had no fairies, no werewolves and no witches to deal with. The whole reason I have Supernatural installed if the just in case factor, and the options to create a supernatural if I want to. I just think it is cool for the if factor. I am fairly new to the sims 3 so I just want to explore 1 step at a time.

although I might have had vampires on because I started a new game without any supernaturals and stuck the options that ever since

For me, I don't hate zombies. I know they're lame, but the only reason I find them very irritable is that they keep eating plants and cannot be interacted with, which is crucial if you're on an opportunity involved with the zombie (in WA adventure destinations, for example). For the plant eating issue, I used a mod to prevent them from eating plants. I also used a mod that makes them more fierce so they're more likely to bite other Sims... but it's still lame and doesn't have an apparent effect.

Since they are more as an irritation instead of adding more varieties to the game, I can understand why not many people like zombies at all. But to me, they're just kind of a challenge to me. Like burglars or fire. I find them as challenges that I should overcome in the game. I like the unpredictability and situations that control how I react to the game, instead of me taking full control of the game. I mean, zombies exist there, so why shouldn't I play along and fine-tune some things?

Well, of course this doesn't apply to all Simmers. But this is just the way I play and I enjoy it.

I hate the zombies because the game turns regular town sims into zombies and then in the morning they aren't zombies anymore. Shouldn't it be sims from the cemetery dig themselves out of the ground? And shouldn't they put your house under siege? No, they just tear up your garden. They should've included weaponry to fight them off with - hatchets or shot guns or something. Another possibly good idea that emerged as a stupid nuisance and has to be modded away. Thanks, Sims Studio.

I can agree with you @nikel23 I feel upset that I can't interact with the zombies more than anything, but eating plants can be solved by putting a wall with no fence around the garden, but then on my game the zombies start having issues with the path system and I get tired of them constantly appearing and yelling at me for not letting them in the garden, i'll stop being smart in these forums because I think it is upsetting some people so I'll just be myself for now on. I'll only make funny jokes instead of impersonating a troll.

anyway, I think EA was vary lazy on the zombies in the sims 3, and if you leave the zombies on, I am not sure, but I think that the zombies turn into regular sims that live in the neighborhood, and it leaves those sims tired for work since they have been up growling all night, and complaining about my path system. I mean what's the purpose, all they do is stand there and stomp their foot. I don't really hate them but I dislike them, yes because I find the to just be wasted projects. I don't really care I just want to ininteract with them at least, but of course you can only interact with a burglar if your sims is a cop. then your sim attacks the thief instead of just panicking

I bring this topic up again just out of curiosity of how many of you modern the sims 3 simmers actually play with the zombies turned on? vs don't play with them? I been doing what I said in the OP for countless years and still to this day continue to do, maybe some of you could recommend a mod or 2 or another way to get rid of the zombies? actually you can also make the zombies appear every night if you want, by setting the Single Lunar Phase to Full Moon, or like I said you can simply turn them off completely without any kind of mod by choosing any single lunar phase other than a full moon, or you could have it so zombies only show up for one night than back to normal the next night by setting a rotational lunar phase.

I have not found the need for zombies, I don't like how all they do is stand their eat your plants or just growl all night long and how it's not the dead sims that rise from the ground but all the living neighbors that teleport from underground instead.

I play with them but have the longest moon cycle so there is a full moon less often.

I kind of thought that someone had been working on a mod to make zombies better?

I prefer to mod zombies out entirely. I wouldn't mind if the attacks were a random event, like meteor strikes or earthquakes, but the regular zombie plagues every full moon were a bit tiresome, especially in the WA worlds where there is no hiding from them. They're not completely gone from my game though: I placed some of those pea shooter plants in the garden at Darke Towers and, every time a paparazzi gets pranged by one, he briefly turns into a zombie and then passes out. Great fun!

Legend is history as we would like it to be. We pick through the dusts of time for what is worth keeping and, here and there, we occasionally find treasure.

I'm pretty sure I'm one of the few people here that doesn't mind the zombies :D

With no mods, putting the moon phase to never change is the only way to keep them from being spawned at the full moon.

However, once generated the zombie sim only has the 'zombified' moodlet so turning a sim back can be done with any way you'd normally remove a negative moodlet (moodlet manager reward, sunlight spell, cure potion, etc).

With mods, things get easier. No More Zombies works with 1.67 as does their add on about the brain freeze quick meal. Also of note is the No Full Moon Lighting. I know there was a mod here to take out lunacy but for the life of me, I can't find it again.

Personally, I play with zombies but if an individual zombie gets annoying, I use Nraas to remove the zombified moodlet then force them to go home. Luckily, zombies cannot open doors or locked gates, so I can put a fence around my gardens. You do have to make sure there isn't enough room for a zombie to spawn inside the gate, but I tend to make compact vegetable gardens.

I don't think this will get rid of Zombies, since first of all it's moodlet state (that causes zombicism) on a Sim, not a fullize life state by code. And they are conjured and randomly zombified by the full moon, oppose to being transformed and infected by a original zombie.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.
