Using a pottery wheel in real pottery does include making the wheel go around by having the pedal running. It's probably the only way for high speed pottery making (besides mold pottery) that still involves the human touch.

But this is a game, and not real life-in reality the pottery maker would be covered in clay by the end of the session..water does turn clay to mud.

I downloaded that as soon as I saw it. I'm a past pottery person, and I love the idea.
