I had a truly illegal amount of fun with the original Princess Challenge , but I felt like it was just too short! Additionally, a couple of things were unclear and out of date. So, this modification of the original challenge is designed to bring it up to date with current features, and add in a bit more length and difficulty.
Aislynne does not refer to herself in first person in the original post. Anywhere in the text of the challenge that you see this, it’s referring to me, Lilbluecaboose. This challenge is even MORE of a wall of text than Aislynne's, so I've followed her formatting and put pretty much everything under spoiler tags. Text in the instructions that uses Aislynne's words has been italicized, to give her credit.
If you don’t like these modifications, then... don’t play it? Anyway.
Played the original? Here’s the details on what I’ve modified:
In-Depth “Patch Notes”:
All gendered language has been changed. Want to play with a reverse harem? A gaggle of beautiful women fighting over the heart of the rugged Princess? Live your dreams, yo.
Challenge length has been extended from 3 weeks to 8 weeks. This means that it’ll take about 1 year of in-game time.
Unclear instructions have been made more obvious.
Additional setup tasks have been added to even the playing field.
Notes for vampires and holidays have been added, for those with those expansions.
Random event list has been expanded.
Events have been re-arranged to keep returning players on their toes.
Description
The goal of this challenge is to make the prince(ss) fall in love with you and to become a Princess. Will you be a conniving schemer or a kind-hearted do-gooder? The choice is yours and you can win either way. Your decisions will have an impact on your reputation, your traits and your future, however, so choose carefully!
This challenge has a lot of text, and I’ve used spoiler tags so that this post wouldn't be so messy. You can but don’t need to read everything in advance, it’s completely up to you. Reading it will make the challenge easier, but it’ll be more fun if you don’t read it beforehand. The text consists of four main parts: the rules, the daily schedule, the random events and the descriptions of the different destinies that your sim may have.
Setting up
-Your candidate lives in a castle with five other candidates. Create all of the other candidates and your own sim in CAS and move them in. They need to be young adults. Pick their traits randomly. Your own sim’s aspiration must be Successful Lineage.
-You may build the castle yourself or use a premade one. There are a lot of nice castles in the gallery! The furniture may be fancy (it’s even recommended!). You may use money cheats at will since money isn’t relevant to this challenge. Aislynne recommends placing enough skilling items for everyone and minimizing fun items. I made sure to place the following: 6 easels, 4 musical instruments; 4 exercise machines; 1 swimming pool; 1 bar; 8 garden pots; and 3 chess tables. You can choose the items you wish, but I found this was enough to keep everyone occupied. I allowed them a TV, because otherwise, keeping up fun need can be miserable. I did have a computer on the lot, but I have disabled autonomous computer use, so it wasn’t an issue.
-Create the royal family in CAS: the king, the queen and the prince(ss), who is their only child. You may choose their looks and traits or randomize them. Pick a lot for them and move them in, it doesn’t matter whether there is a house there or not, you won’t be visiting them during the challenge.
-Set lifespan to long.
Rules and instructions
-The challenge lasts eight weeks. You need to consult the schedule at six a.m. every day to know what happens that day.
-You cannot control the other candidates unless it says so in the daily schedule or the random events. Exception: You may occasionally make them clean or repair objects, but you also have to take part in those activities yourself.
-When you’re required to roll a random event, use random.org or roll dice. If it’s an event you’ve already rolled during the challenge, roll again until you get one that you haven’t had already. When referring to dice, I tend to use D&D terminology. 1d6 means a six-sided die, 2d6 means two six-sided dice, 1d20 means a 20 sided die, and etc. Just a heads up so you aren’t confused!
-You may not call the prince(ss), the queen or the king, chat with them or invite them over unless it says so in the daily schedule or the random events. You are also not allowed to interact with anybody else in the world except your own household.
-Cheats and mods that give you an advantage over a person who doesn't use them are not recommended.
-If you have Seasons installed, holidays now count towards your success! After all, what sort of royal-to-be doesn’t celebrate the holidays of the country? For an excellent holiday, gain +100 aspiration points. For a terrible one, lose -100 aspiration points. No change for a meh one. If you miss the popup, this will be obvious from the moodlet your candidate gets the day after the holiday. The only exception is Love Day. There will be no points gained or lost for Love Day, because it’s impossible to do properly without a significant other.
An aside on mods:
I would recommend NOT using the mod Vampirisim is Fun! In ANY of its flavors for this challenge, especially if you make a vampire in the household (which I think can be quite fun). This is because the drink deeply interaction is always lethal with those mods. I had two candidates die because of it!
Aspiration points
The number of aspiration points you have at the end of the challenge will determine your sim’s fate and whether you’ve completed the challenge successfully. You will gain and lose aspiration points during the challenge. I recommend using this very helpful mod to quickly add or subtract aspiration points: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=534747 . If you don’t want to use that mod, you can also keep track of your aspiration points manually on a piece of paper. You will probably also gain aspiration points from completing whims, that’s ok and even recommended. Your sim’s aspiration must be Successful Lineage (so that you can’t complete it during the challenge). It is also ok to spend aspiration points if you want to buy rewards. Just remember that the number of aspiration points at the end of the challenge determines whether you've been successful, so be careful not to spend too many of them!
Schemer / Kind-Hearted points
These are the other points you will get during the challenge. Every time you get one, keep count of how many you’ve already got. You can have both Schemer and Kind-Hearted points at the same time.
Tips
-All skills are useful, but the following are the ones you’ll especially need to be successful in the challenge: Cooking, Gardening, Charisma, Violin / Piano / Guitar, Painting, Logic, Mixology.
-It's a good idea to buy expensive furniture. The most expensive bed is helpful, for example, because you won't need to sleep that long every night.
You can stop reading now if you want and go start the challenge. Just remember to check the daily schedule (below) every day at 6 a.m! You can also keep reading if you wish. If you have questions about this challenge, or about anything at all, as long as it's not calculus, feel free to ask.
THE DAILY SCHEDULE
Week 1: Day 1 (Sunday)
Getting to know each other.
Chat with everybody.
Setup Tasks:
Have your candidate introduce themself to every member of the royal family, but do NOT attempt to make friends. Just get them on the contacts list.
Have every other candidate reach level 1 of each of the following: Charisma, One Instrument, Painting, Logic, and Mixology. This will allow them to autonomously practice these skills!
Add 100 aspiration points for every new friend you make today.
Add 100 aspiration points for every skill level past the first level that you reach (all skills are ok).
Week 1: Day 2 (Monday)
Nothing scheduled for today. Roll a random event.
Week 1: Day 3 (Tuesday)
The queen comes over to get to know you all.
Throw a party at two o'clock p.m. and invite her.
300 aspiration points if you manage to cook a meal of at least good quality (anything above Normal) for her.
300 aspiration points if you get a silver or gold medal for the party.
Week 1: Day 4 (Wednesday)
The queen has sent you all a letter. She thanks you for the party and says that she had a good time. Nevertheless, she feels that you should all improve your Charisma skill a little to be able to impress the prince(ss) eventually.
Make all candidates practice speech in front of the mirror.
-400 aspiration points if your Charisma skill is at level 2 (or lower) by the end of the day
300 aspiration points if your Charisma skill is at level 4 (or higher) by the end of the day
500 aspiration points if your Charisma skill is at level 6 (or higher) by the end of the day
The queen also asks you personally if you’d like to have a little flower garden.
If you accept, buy seeds and plant six flowers on the lot. It’s your responsibility to take care of the plants, but if another candidate happens to water or weed them, it’s ok. If you decline, nothing happens.
Week 1: Day 5 (Thursday)
Rivalries and alliances begin to stew among the candidates. Pick one candidate to be your rival, and choose one to be your ally. Spend the day making your choice known.
100 aspiration points and 1 schemer point for reaching an enemy relationship with the rival
100 aspiration points for making the ally your friend
200 aspiration points and 1 kind-hearted point for making the ally your good friend
300 aspiration points and 1 kind-hearted point for making the ally your best friend
Week 1: Day 6 (Friday)
Friday is here at last! You feel like it’s been a long first week and are looking forward to the weekend.
Nothing scheduled for today. Roll a random event.
Week 1: Day 7 (Saturday)
One of the candidates has heard that the prince(ss) loves playing chess. You decide to hold a chess tournament to hone your skills.
Pair up (candidate 1 (that is you) with candidate 2, candidate 3 with 4 and candidate 5 with 6) and compete against each other. Then compete against the winners of the other two games. In total, you play three games. Count how many games you win.
-300 aspiration points if you lose every time
200 aspiration points if you win once
400 aspiration points if you win twice
700 aspiration points if you win three times
Week 2: Day 1 (Sunday)
Nothing scheduled for today. Roll a random event.
Week 2: Day 2 (Monday)
You've been told that the prince(ss) themself is going to visit you tomorrow! You will need to prepare for the visit.
Make all candidates practice Mixology and Cooking.
Week 2: Day 3 (Tuesday)
The prince(ss) will be visiting you this afternoon. You feel ready but a little anxious nevertheless.
Make sure there are no broken appliances, toilets etc. on the lot. If there are, you must repair them or direct another candidate to repair them. Similarly, you and the other candidates must clean, too. At two o’clock p.m., invite the prince(ss).
When the prince(ss) arrives, the candidates take turns trying to flirt with them.
Instructions: First the candidate in question must introduce themself to the prince(ss) (if they haven’t already). Then use either the flirt or the pick-up line interaction and make a note if the interaction was successful. You may not use any other interactions or try several times. Repeat the process with every candidate (you can choose the order).
Give aspiration points to yourself as follows:
-500 if you weren’t successful but another candidate was
-200 if you weren’t successful but nor were the other candidates
100 if you were successful and so were at least two other candidates
500 if you were successful and so was another candidate
800 if you were the only one who was successful
You can spend the rest of the day doing whatever you want. You may interact with the prince(ss) if you wish, but don’t try to kiss them.
Week 2: Day 4 (Wednesday)
The queen writes a letter to you again. She wants to know how all the candidates are doing.
Count all your skill points and all the skill points of the other candidates immediately.
-500 aspiration points if you have fewer skill points than any other candidate
-200 aspiration points if you have the same amount of skill points as any other candidate
If you have more skill points than the others:
200 aspiration points if you have 1-4 skill points more than the second best candidate
400 aspiration points if you have 5-8 skill points more than the second best candidate
600 aspiration points if you have 9-12 skill points more than the second best candidate
900 aspiration points if you have at least 13 skill points more than the second best candidate
She also fears that the candidates are gaining too much weight because they party so much. According to her, you need to take care of your body if you hope to attract the prince(ss)’s attention!
Make every candidate complete three workout interactions today.
Week 2: Day 5 (Thursday)
The queen thanks you for keeping her updated and says that you’ve all been making good progress but should still concentrate on developing your skills.
Make all the candidates practice at least one skill they’re bad at.
Week 2: Day 6 (Friday)
Nothing scheduled for today. Roll a random event.
Week 2: Day 7 (Saturday)
It’s Saturday, so you can just take it easy, have fun and relax after a hard week!
500 aspiration points if you manage to avoid all negative emotions (Uncomfortable, Tense, Embarrassed, Bored, Angry, Sad…) today.
Week 3: Day 1 (Sunday)
The prince(ss) writes each of you individually to let you know that they would like to get to know the candidates better and is going to take each candidate on a date to spend some time, 1-on-1.
Your date is scheduled for Wednesday! You can spend today trying to prepare, but if you wish, you can sabotage your rival. If you do, take +1 schemer point and gain 100 aspiration points.
Week 3: Day 2 (Monday)
If you have at least two Schemer points, you have to change one of your traits to any of the following: Evil, Mean, Genius, Self-Assured, Noncommittal, Perfectionist. If you have at least four Schemer points, you have to pick the new trait randomly. If you have at least two Kind-Hearted points, you have to change one of your traits to any of the following: Cheerful, Goofball, Good, Outgoing, Creative, Family-Oriented. If you have at least four Kind-Hearted points, you have to pick the new trait randomly.
Have one candidate (not your ally) call the prince(ss) to hang out at another lot (the romantic bar in San Myshuno is a good bet!) at 2pm, then switch control back to your candidate. Set the other candidate’s action to socialize with the prince(ss). At 4pm, call that candidate come home.
Week 3: Day 3 (Tuesday)
You find your ally in tears from stress before their date with the prince(ss). If you comfort them, spend at least 3 hours having friendly interactions with them (talking, cloudgazing, playing chess, watching TV), and gain +1 kind-hearted point. If you do not, gain +1 schemer point and lose 100 aspiration points, as your friend realizes that you may not be as loyal as expected.
Have your ally call the prince(ss) to hang out at another lot (the romantic bar in San Myshuno is a good bet!) at 2pm, then switch control back to your candidate. Set the other candidate’s action to socialize with the prince(ss). At 4pm, call that candidate come home.
Week 3: Day 4 (Wednesday)
It’s your day! Spend the morning getting ready for your first date.
Call the prince(ss) to hang out at another lot (the romantic bar in San Myshuno is a good bet!) at 2pm. Use whatever socials you wish for two hours, but do not kiss, go steady with, or woohoo with the prince(ss)-- nothing more serious than flirting, kids! Go home at 4pm exactly.
Week 3: Day 5 (Thursday)
Nothing scheduled for today. Roll a random event.
Have your rival call the prince(ss) to hang out at another lot (the romantic bar in San Myshuno is a good bet!) at 2pm, then switch control back to your candidate. Set the other candidate’s action to socialize with the prince(ss). At 4pm, call that candidate come home.
Week 3: Day 6 (Friday)
You’ve been good about honing your skills, but today, you feel like doing something new! Pick up a skill that you have never used beforeー meaning, not even level 1!
-400 aspiration points if the skill is at level 2 (or lower) by the end of the day
300 aspiration points if the skill is at level 4 (or higher) by the end of the day
500 aspiration points if the skill is at level 6 (or higher) by the end of the day
You know the drill. Have one candidate call the prince(ss) to hang out at another lot (the romantic bar in San Myshuno is a good bet!) at 2pm, then switch control back to your candidate. Set the other candidate’s action to socialize with the prince(ss). At 4pm, call that candidate come home.
Week 3: Day 7 (Saturday)
Another hard week finished! Especially with the stress of picking up a new skill yesterday and your big date, you feel like you deserve a bit of time to chill. Take a bath, and spend today working on any skills that fill your fun need. (Learning cooking from TV, playing chess, etc.)
Have one candidate call the prince(ss) to hang out at another lot (the romantic bar in San Myshuno is a good bet!) at 2pm, then switch control back to your candidate. Set the other candidate’s action to socialize with the prince(ss). At 4pm, call that candidate come home.
Week 4: Day 1 (Sunday)
You receive a letter from the prince(ss), thanking you for the time you spent together.
Check the relationship score between you and the prince(ss), compared to all the other candidates.
-200 if you have the lowest relationship
100 if you have a better relationship than one or two other candidates
500 if you have a better relationship than three or four other candidates
800 if you have the best relationship of anyone.
Week 4: Day 2 (Monday)
The king writes and lets you all know that he will be stopping in at some point this week and expects to be entertained. You hear two servants gossiping that the king likes charismatic people.
Decide what you’ll do:
1. You tell the others that the Charisma skill is important to the king. Make every candidate practice speaking in front of the mirror. You get +1 Kind-Hearted point.
2. Or you keep this information secret. Nothing special happens.
Week 4: Day 3 (Tuesday)
Have a competition to see who will make the best dinner for the king. Have every candidate prepare a group meal, then see which one is the best rated. You are welcome to use any tools at your disposal to get a leg up on your competition!
Week 4: Day 4 (Wednesday)
Nothing scheduled for today. Roll a random event.
Week 4: Day 5 (Thursday)
It’s time for the dinner party! At 4:30, invite the king to a dinner party. Be careful, because he’s a bit pickier than his wife!
300 aspiration points if you manage to cook a meal of at high quality (anything above Good) for him.
300 aspiration points if you get a gold medal for the party.
Week 4: Day 6 (Friday)
Whichever way the dinner party went, take some time off to recharge and re-evaluate how things are going. Today, you may change a single trait to a different trait. If you got a trait for your schemer or kind-hearted points, you CANNOT change that trait.
Week 4: Day 7 (Saturday)
You and the other candidates have survived to the halfway point! Now, it’s time to look towards the future. Your next dates with the prince are coming up next week, and you want to make sure you knock it out of the park. Take some time to brush up on your comedy!

500 aspiration points if your Comedy skill is at level 6 (or higher) by the end of the day
Week 5: Day 1 (Sunday)

You also get:

Week 5: Day 4 (Wednesday)
It’s your day! If there’s anything you want to get ready for the date, now’s your last chance!
Week 5: Day 5 (Thursday)
Nothing scheduled for today. Roll a random event.
Have your rival call the prince(ss) to hang out at another lot (the romantic bar in San Myshuno is a good bet!) at 2pm, then switch control back to your candidate. Set the other candidate’s action to socialize with the prince(ss). At 4pm, call that candidate come home.
Week 5: Day 6 (Friday)
The queen writes you all to say that she and the king will be going on a trip the next week, and would like all of you to join. Choose one of the outdoorsy skills (gardening, herbalism, fishing) and spend today working on it.
Week 5: Day 7 (Saturday)
You decide to hold a baking contest. Have everyone make a baked good (using either the baking or cooking skill), and see whose is the best! Gain 300 aspiration points if you’re the winner.

Week 6: Day 1 (Sunday)
It’s time to prepare for your upcoming vacation! Perform the same check for the relationship with the prince as you did with the last dating round, as so:
-200 if you have the lowest relationship
100 if you have a better relationship than one or two other candidates
500 if you have a better relationship than three or four other candidates
800 if you have the best relationship of anyone.
Week 6: Day 2 (Monday)
It’s time to get away! If you have Outdoor Retreat, send everyone on a vacation to Granite Falls for 5 days. If not, spend the next few days primarily chatting, playing chess, fishing, cooking, etc. Nothing you couldn’t do on a trip to a cabin!
If you have Outdoor Retreat, spend your time on vacation however you like. Will you try to further your skills? Will you try to win over the prince(ss)? Or will you get some much deserved R&R?
Week 6: Day 3 (Tuesday)
Vacation! Do whatever you want.
Week 6: Day 4 (Wednesday)
Vacation!
The prince(ss) wants to go fishing. Take everyone fishing with them, and see how many fish everyone catches. If you catch the most fish of the candidates, gain 200 aspiration points. If you catch more than all the candidates AND the prince(ss), gain 300 aspiration points. If you catch less than everyone, lose 200 aspiration points.
Week 6: Day 5 (Thursday)
Vacation!
Week 6: Day 6 (Friday)
Vacation!
The queen wants to go for a hike. Send everyone out for some time in the woods!
Week 6: Day 7 (Saturday)
Ah, the return to reality. Your vacation was nice (maybe), but now it’s time to prepare for next week: the flurry of preparation for a royal ball! You panic about how you’ll look in your outfit, after trying it on.
Spend today working out.
Week 7: Day 2 (Sunday)
You realize that while you’ve been invited to a ball, you may or may not know how to dance! Spend today practicing dancing, if you have Get Together. Otherwise, workout again!
Week 7: Day 2 (Monday)
You wake up to find your clothes for the ball ripped! It’s clearly the work of your rival. If you forgive them, gain 1 kind-hearted point. If not, go and argue with them until you can use the Fight! interaction! This will earn you 200 aspiration points.
Week 7: Day 2 (Tuesday)
Nothing scheduled for today. Roll a random event.
Week 7: Day 2 (Wednesday)
You still need to get your torn clothes repaired! If you have more kind-hearted points than schemer points, the servants will happily do it for you, in repayment for your kindness. If you have more schemer points, or none of either (somehow), you will have to give up something to get the servants to do this favor for you, as they worry you’re just being difficult to be difficult. In this case, take -100 aspiration points as you give up some of your status to convince the servants to do the work.
Week 7: Day 2 (Thursday)
The ball is approaching fast, and tensions over who will get the first dance with the prince(ss) are high. Your ally is starting to show strain, and your relationship is suffering. If you choose to take time for them, gain +1 kind-hearted point but lose 100 aspiration points, and spend at least 4 hours interacting with them. If you choose to ignore your ally, gain 100 aspiration points.
Week 7: Day 2 (Friday)
If you have any more you wish to prepare for the ball, do it now! Charisma, cooking, mixology, and comedy will all be useful skills! Make the other candidates practice one of these skills, too, in order to even the playing field a bit.
Week 7: Day 2 (Saturday)

Throw a Black and White party at six o’clock p.m. and invite the entire royal family.
200 aspiration points if you manage to make the queen your friend
200 aspiration points more if you manage to make the queen your good friend
300 aspiration points and +1 Schemer point if you manage to flirt successfully with the king
300 aspiration points and + 1 Schemer point if you manage to change the king’s mood to Flirty when he’s talking to you

300 aspiration points for a gold party

500 aspiration points if at least two of the plants are of magnificent quality
800 aspiration points if at least two of the plants are of perfect quality
Week 8: Day 1 (Sunday)
What a day yesterday was! One way or another, the prince(ss) will be making a choice very soon. Today, though, you’re pretty wiped out from the ball. No physical activities todayー exercise, standing in front of a mirror for hours, etc. Reading, playing chess, and other quiet, low-stress activities are okay.
Week 8: Day 2 (Monday)
The candidates decide to hold a rematch for the chess tournament! If you lost previously, now is your time to redeem yourself! If you won, well, defend your crown!
-300 aspiration points if you lose every time
200 aspiration points if you win once
400 aspiration points if you win twice
700 aspiration points if you win three times

Week 8: Day 3 (Tuesday)
The queen writes to thank you for the party, and suggests that you all take some time to enjoy the current season. If you have Seasons, do something appropriately seasonal! If you don’t, pick a Season to be in and do whatever you want.
Week 8: Day 4 (Wednesday)
Whether you’ve made close friends or not, everyone has gotten to know each other over the past few weeks. As the moment of truth approaches, you all decide to throw a slumber party!
Week 8: Day 5 (Thursday)

RANDOM EVENTS
When the daily schedule asks you to roll a random event, use random.org or roll dice. You need numbers 1 to 20. If it’s an event you’ve already rolled during the challenge, roll again until you get one that you haven’t had already.
1 You’ve got a flu! Spend the day doing nothing but napping, eating and going to the bathroom. You may play games on your phone, browse the web, read non-skill books, and watch any TV but the cooking channel. If you wish, you may infect one other candidate intentionally (choose the one you consider your worst rival). If you decide to do so, you get +1 Schemer point and the infected candidate has to spend the day doing nothing, just like you (you may cancel all her actions except napping / sleeping, eating and going to the bathroom).
2 You’ve accidentally broken an expensive vase that belongs to the queen. You decide: You admit what you’ve done and get -300 aspiration points, OR you frame another candidate. If you decide to frame someone, roll a six-sided die (or use random.org): 1-2 You get caught, -500 aspiration points and you have to change one of your traits to either Mean or Clumsy (you decide), 3-6 You’re successful, you get +1 Schemer point and +300 aspiration points.
3 The queen doesn’t like schemers. If you’ve got Schemer points, you have to convince the queen that it’s not a bad thing to be cunning. You can do this by raising your Charisma skill by two levels today. If you’re unsuccessful, the queen isn’t convinced and you’ll get -500 aspiration points.
4 You find one of the other candidates crying alone. She is feeling insecure and says that she is afraid she’s never going to be able to make the prince(ss) fall in love with them. Will you try to lift their spirits? If you will, you’ll get +1 Kind-Hearted point but also -100 aspiration points since you’re helping your rival. If you decide to ignore them, nothing happens.
5 Today you wake up feeling irritated and angry. You can pick a fight with another candidate if you want to or restrain yourself. Use the Fight! interaction (you can argue / shout / insult her until the interaction becomes available). If you win, you get 500 aspiration points because now everyone knows who the boss is, but if you lose, you get -200 aspiration points. Whether you win or lose, you get +1 Schemer point if you fight. If you decide to restrain yourself, nothing happens.
6 Oh no! The queen’s ring has gone missing! You suspect that one of the serving girls, a particularly poor one, has stolen and sold it to get medical help for her ailing mother. Will you tell the queen? If not, you get +1 Kind-Hearted point. If you decide to tell, the queen appreciates it and you get 200 aspiration points.
7 Do you have at least one Kind-Hearted point and no Schemer points? If not, nothing happens. If you do, you manage to make an impression on the prince(ss)’s aunt, who is a particularly kind-hearted person herself. She tells the prince(ss) how much she likes you, and you get 300 aspiration points for every Kind-hearted point that you have.
8 A handsome duke seems to be smitten with you. What do you do? If you decide to enjoy the attention, you can change any trait you have to either Romantic or Self-Assured, but it’s possible that the prince(ss) hears of your flirting. Roll a six-sided die (or use random.org): 1 You get caught, give yourself -500 aspiration points. 2-6 Nobody notices your little affair.
9 One of the other girls tells you that she’s made a terrible mistake. The cake she baked for the royal couple as a present contains salt instead of sugar. Will you take the hit for her and say it was you who baked the cake? If you do, you get +1 Kind-Hearted point and -300 aspiration points. If you do nothing, nothing happens. You can also choose to tell everybody what a hopeless cook that girl is, in which case you get 200 aspiration points and +1 Schemer point.
10 When you wake up today, you feel like a new person! If you have at least four skill points in one or several of the following skills: Painting, Mixology, Violin / Piano / Guitar, Cooking, Gardening, Logic, Handiness or Charisma, you may change one of your traits if you want to. You also get 100 aspiration points for every level beyond the fourth in all of the skills mentioned above.
11 The king throws a party and wants one of you to entertain the guests by playing an instrument. If one of the other candidates is better at any instrument than you are, they are automatically chosen and you get -300 aspiration points. If you are the best player and your Piano / Violin / Guitar level is at least five, you are chosen to entertain the guests and get 500 aspiration points (if you don’t have the necessary skill level yet, you have until 6 p.m. to improve your skill).
12 The prince(ss) seems to be a little too interested in one of the other candidates. What will you do?
- You can try to make the candidate in question look like a fool. Roll a six-sided die or use random.org: 1 You’re not successful unless you have at least five Schemer points, 2 You’re not successful unless you have at least four Schemer points, 3 You’re not successful unless you have at least three Schemer points, 4 You’re not successful unless you have at least two Schemer points, 5 You’re successful, 6 You’re successful. If you’re successful, you get 400 aspiration points and +1 Schemer point. If you’re unsuccessful, the only person that looks like a fool is yourself and you get -500 aspiration points.
- Do nothing. You get -300 aspiration points.
- Tell the other candidate that they deserve the prince(ss)’s attention. You get -400 aspiration points and +1 Kind-Hearted point.
13 Someone has started a horrible rumor about you, slandering your reputation. You are alerted to it by a friend. How will you handle it?
-You can try to dispell it directly. Roll 1d6, then add your Charisma level. On a 1-6, you manage to make things worse, getting -200 aspiration points. On a 7-9, you succeed, but not as gracefully as you could, getting +200 aspiration points. On a 10-16, you dispell the rumors in a manner that befits a (potential) future royal, getting +400 aspiration points.
-You can ignore it. Roll 1d4. On a 1-3, the rumor fades out as a new, more exciting one takes its place. On a 4, the rumor grows, permanently tainting your reputation. You get -300 aspiration points.
14 You’re getting fatigued with increasing your skills, and desperately need to get out of the house. Don’t make any friends or romances, but get out and see the world! If you have a random event day during a festival or holiday (if you have the applicable expansions), you can choose to just take this event. Take the entire household out to a public venue, and spend some time in different scenery!
15 One of the prince(ss)’s cousins comes to visit. He proves to be quite a manipulator, and will be pleased if you are a kindred spirit. If you have 2 schemer points and 0 kind-hearted points, gain 200 aspiration points, as the cousin puts in a good word for you.
16 You find a wounded bird outside. If you choose to take it in and help it, roll 1d6. On a 1 or 2, you manage to save the bird! Gain 1 kind-hearted point and 200 aspiration points. On anything else, you tragically fail, and gain nothing.
17 It’s one of the candidates’ birthday! Don’t actually age anyone up, but pick one candidate and make the day all about them. Make a cake, give presents (if an option), and make them feel special. Or, if it’s your rival, make them miserable as best you can.
18 You receive bad news from your family. A beloved family member has passed away. Roll 1d4. On a 1-2, you spend today mourning. You spend your time napping, reading, and gardening. On a 3-4, you spend today distracting yourself. You spend your time exercising, watching exciting television, and playing games.
19 You catch one of the other candidates with a powerful noble! Do you tell? If you do, gain 100 aspiration points. If you don’t, gain +1 Kind-Hearted points.
20 You stumble upon an old keepsake of the prince(ss)’, and return it to them. Gain 100 aspiration points to represent their gratitude!
2 You’ve accidentally broken an expensive vase that belongs to the queen. You decide: You admit what you’ve done and get -300 aspiration points, OR you frame another candidate. 0-2 Schemer points and 0-2 Kind-Hearted points OR 3 or more Kind-Hearted points and 3 or more Schemer points: Well, this could have gone better. Your spouse seems to be a decent person, though, so I guess this could also have gone worse. You have no luxuries in your life but find some peace in hard work.
3 or more Schemer points and less than 3 Kind-Hearted points: You are disappointed and bitter, you think you deserve to be a Princess and not the wife of some merchant! Nevertheless, you manage to use your cunning to gain wealth. Your spouse never really learns how to love such a cruel and sly person, however, and finally divorces you and marries a more kind-hearted person.
3 or more Kind-Hearted points and less than 3 Schemer points: You fall in love with a merchant, marry them and have many children. You lead a simple life with your family. The prince(ss) has chosen another candidate to be their future spouse and none of the other nobles seem to be interested in you. You don’t seem to be able to get a good job either. The only spouse you manage to find is a thug.
What kind of a person will you be?
0-2 Schemer points and 0-2 Kind-Hearted points OR 3 or more Kind-Hearted points and 3 or more Schemer points: Yeah, what can I say... Your life will be filled with hard work and misery, but at least your spouse cares about you. You sell vegetables for a living and spend your life hoping that your spouse won’t get caught and be hanged.
3 or more Schemer points and less than 3 Kind-Hearted points: You are furious, how could this happen? You become a thug yourself and manage to do quite well before your equally deceitful spouse betrays you. You get caught and spend the rest of your life in jail, missed by no one.
3 or more Kind-Hearted points and less than 3 Schemer points: You fall in love with a thug and marry them. You can’t stand the idea that your spouse is a criminal and hurts innocent people, however, and so you force them to stop committing crimes. That is all quite commendable, but that now you two have no source of income. You resort to begging, only to find out that other people are not as kind-hearted as you are.

Hello! Don’t know if you’ll answer this but what happens when members of the royal family call me? Am I allowed to answer and chat with them? Same if they invite me or the other precandidatos out, are we allowed to go? And if so, does everyone else also need to join or just the person called?
