I've been having this issue for about a month and a half now. I've tried reinstalling, completely wiping my sims from my computer, changing the sims 3 graphics card text doc, and installing Directx9 but nothing has worked. I'm not sure if its because my specs don't match the sims or if I'm just missing something. Has anyone else had this issue? If you did and solved it, how? I have my specs posted below for anyone who's tech savvy.

The OP's dxdiag indicates that this is exactly what the problem is.

I've already tried pretty much everything I've seen on that thread but no luck. I've seen in threads like those that some computers just won't run the game at all bc of the processor, and I'm starting the think that I'm just one of those people now and EA has to put out a fix.

So they problem is my processor? Is there a way to fix it without buying a new one?

The known solutions that work for your processor are on that thread. If they are really not working for you, then post to the thread (if you haven't already) for further assistance, indicating exactly what you have already tried.
