I downloaded Sims 3 as a substitute because my Sims 2 was fucked and there's still no solution then when i created a Sim in CAS my game keeps unexpectedly crashing and so the sim i create is lost to time
How do i fix this?!
Edit: It's actually the game being horrible, now it runs normally

We're going to need more info because there are hundreds of different reasons why The Sims would crash on you.

What's your computer setup? Does your GraphicsRules say "found 1, matched 1" ?

i've never really had graphic rules for sims 3.

You already have GraphicRules.sgr and GraphicCards.sgr ! They are in game installation folder - usually at C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3...
Also DeviceConfig is in game data folder - usually at C:\Users\...\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3...

1. First you need this tool to add your graphics card in game database https://www.nexusmods.com/thesims3/mods/106
2. Check if this line in DeviceConfig is like this : Name (database): <GPU name> [Found: 1, Matched: 1]
3. After changing this line mark DeviceConfig as Read-Only in properties
4. Change these lines in GraphicRules.sgr:

seti cardLevel $forcedCardLevel
endif
if ($forcedCpuLevel == 1)
seti cpuLevel $forcedCpuLevel

Do you have mod framework for sims 3. If you dont have one download it from here and place the Mods folder that you have just downloaded in C:\Users\...\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. For installing Nraas mods, place them in Mods/Packages...

i forgot to say it but yeah. I had to do nothing, it was Sims 3 being Sims 3. Roflmao

Glad to hear that you solve the problem. I recommend to install Nraas mods - they are really helping debloat the game. ErrorTrap is a must when error occurs
