When I first got vanilla Sims 3, and my Sim got electrocuted on Sim day 3 when trying to fix her stereo.

Shiny, happy people make me puke!

Not sure exactly what you are wanting, but a fave moment was when a fave Sim was hit by one of the very rare meteor hits and she whipped out her death flower. I have a great photo somewhere. - - -

I killed Betty Newbie almost immediately in one with a fire! LOL

When I hear the elevator 'muzak' playing it brings back fond memories of Sims 1. Ahh, happy days! I never needed mods back then, I didn't even know there were such things.

Legend is history as we would like it to be. We pick through the dusts of time for what is worth keeping and, here and there, we occasionally find treasure.

Whereas for me, my Sims 1 game was so heavily modded that when Sims 2 came out I said "I'll wait till there's a good supply of Sims 2 mods" --I discovered Mod The Sims 2 before the game came out, and breathlessly followed all the discussions of what they expected to find and how they were going to reverse engineer it and so on. I forget how long it took me to break and get Sims 2. Didn't get Sims 3 until I was disappointed by SIms 4, but when it's modded sufficiently, it's everything I really wanted in Sims 2.

I used to love the festivals. They were always crowded, and there would be someone fighting or behaving really weirdly.

I will always love the ant colony aspect of the Sims 3, watching everyone go about whatever routines are formed out of their obligations.

Also every sim in TS3 is borderline dysfunctional, which makes watching them all the more interesting.

Recently, I logged into my old TS3 MyPage. For starters, I was able to find some of my Sims I had posted during my very first month or two of playing the game. (I started when I was a preteen, I think.) Stuff that would have otherwise been lost to time and failed/destroyed technology. As I was digging through things, I found every single Sim memory I ever posted to the wall. Countless families and challenges I had done when I was younger. Every Simself playthrough. Even my old best friend who I had made into a Sim! My old cat, too! I even found posts from the time I was dealing with a broken keyboard - I could tell because I was typing without the letter 'L' and all my 'O's were zeros!

It was all extremely nostalgic. If any of you have a page on The Sims 3 site, you should definitely check it out while the site is still available. I'm sure it won't be around for much longer.

I ramble a lot, and get confused easily, so my apologies to you in advance.

I fondly remember when I still could play hour after hour without ever getting the "max memory used" crash. Oh, those were the days.

Default Re: Sims 3 Nostalgia?
When I first got the game in 2011/12, around the time I was in my first year in college, I first played in Bridgeport and built a house I got inspired on from this site onto a scenic spot. Flash forward 10+ years when I was feeling nostalgic (very recently), I redownloaded the game but I've since lost ALOT of my old files and salvaged what I could. Nonetheless, I rebuilt the same house and maybe even better this time around (with the help of my old sims page on the ea website). Gosh I miss those days. I still think TS3 is superior to TS4.

I remember playing a legacy in Sims 3 when I first got the game - totally vanilla. It was around ten generations or more, and the families ended up being connected to one another. The graveyard was filled to the brim with those legacy sims.

Having to save as instead of save. I could recall forcefully vacating my first save to another world because I was getting error code 13s. It was vanilla and my desktop at the time could barely handle mods, so regulating with NRAAS was not an option.

Over six years later, I carry that intuition to that day as a design major. Creating file backups are necessary.

The first time I ever played TS3, on the very first night my family had a burglar. The house was barely even furnished yet, and the burglar stole the toilet.
