Hey everyone,
I'm completely new to pretty much any type of modding. The most I've done in SimPE is a simple photo recoloring and adding family relations... beyond that I'm clueless.
However, I am hoping to potentially try my hand at it. I have some tutotials saved, the one by Echo that talks about how to make basic bhavs, and I believe I have one saved that talks about Pie menue. strings etc.
What I'm trying to do is, taking a part of Moniques Hacked Computer, and adding/copying it to a cc decorative item so the item will be modded/fuctional. I'd love to make a lotto system by taking the lottery system from the hacked computer and adding it to a lotto ticket machine that's a 4t2 deco item. A friend of mine saw my post about it on tumblr and messaged me with some helpful tips and said he'd been thinking of doing something like this for some time now. We got to talking about it and he said he was going to try it out by copying/importing the bhavs and the strings but when he put the item in his game, it crashed the game, so it doesn't work. so he tried this:
"onna write in an option to buy the ticket and have it just drop the tokens in the sim's inventory. then, hopefully, monique's controller will process the rest as it should" but that did not work either. He then tried "i have a clean hood in right now. no conflicts, so i mustve done the bhavs wrong or missed something in one of the computer controllers."

SO, what I'm asking is if anyone has any clue on how we'd go about getting this to work, do we have to write our own?
I know it's been done before, as I've seen it in a youtube video where she did exactly what I am asking about. I did leave her a comment but haven't really gotten a response.
