Default WCIF Not getting arrested for criminal career?
I used to play an Xbox 360 version of The Sims 3 a lot. While it was downgraded, it had it's good sides. One of them is being able to work as criminal without much of a frustration. But when I switched to PC version again, I've discovered, that while working as criminal, you could be arrested. When it happened once, I didn't bother much, but soon enough it started to happen every day - some cop stopped my sim on his way to work and dragged him to jail, while my perfomance bar was dropping dramatically, I couldn't do anything about it, and it basically wasn't my fault, so it started to annoy me pretty quick. I even started to ask questions, like, why this whole cops and robbers situation so unbalanced? Why you can't be captured by criminals and forced to sit through captivity while working as a cop? Totally unfair. Might as well have someting to do with agenda, but I'm not a child, I can tell right and wrong, so why I can't let myself to be a bad guy in videogame without going through frustrations? So this led me to look for a mod, that prevents getting arrested while you work as criminal. Please, help, this whole situation is really annoying! It's also worth saying, that this situation never happend in The Sims 1, 2 or even 4.

There was one by Claudia_84 on here but it's not listed under their profile and they haven't been on since September. I'm not sure what the policy is on me sharing it since it's no longer listed.

But yeah, really annoying to get arrested just trying to go to work.

Do you have the information if there is, and what XML files were tuned for this mod?

I've looked for a mod for this, and found none. Plenty of people have problems with being arrested all the time, and have work arounds like here

Traits can also affect your sims. If they are an unlucky loser, well there’s your problem

The XML edited was CareerEvents, with this change made to the list of Criminal events:

<Criminal>
<EventType>CriminalCareer_GetArrested</EventType>
<EventName>Sims3.Gameplay.Careers.Criminal+GetArrested, Sims3GameplaySystems</EventName>
<Likelihood>0.00</Likelihood>
<AvailableLevels>1:9</AvailableLevels>

... since the likelihood of getting a career event is based of your traits, does this actually mean lucky sims are more likely to get arrested?

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least, traits have more to do with game outcomes than most give them credit for.

Unlucky sims have a higher chance of death, but then a higher chance also of the Grim Reaper taking pity on them and giving them another chance at life

Thank you for the info!

I'm really new to modding Sims, but I'll take a look to see if I can recreate this mod using the tuning XML tutorials.
