Default "Jumping the Shark"
All of us have watched a TV show or series that did the 'point of no return' bit that doomed the series/program to a shameful and overdue demise.

Where you kept saying "Oh, I can't I'm still watching this garbage!"

Now, have you ever had the same thing happen to a neighborhood you seemingly loved but that point was reached where you no longer wanted to play it because it'd become 'unplayable' (not technically-the game was fine.) in your mind?

Was it the addition of a character (most often in my experience), the turn of events that you had not planned on, the kind of things your characters were doing that was just too much? Where you felt it had become something you could not justify playing?

This is where you lay out the agony to your heart's content.

Mine: I had added one more character to Thalia and that tipped the scales. I no longer wanted to play it because the character just didn't fit in. I later deleted that version and redid the original that I had saved just in case of.

I have been there - I have 3 saved hoods that I probably will not play again.

The main reason with all 3 - I probably started out with too many families, or they were all just too fertile, but my hoods really grew quickly. In the end, it felt a bit like hard work to play through all the families. That was without a lifespan mod too - and the graveyards were fairly full as well.

Chances are that I will end up there again. But I will worry about it when I get there

My old story hood, for starters. It had been hanging on from 2007-ish to 2016, jumped from my ancient laptop to the gaming PC. It went through at least 2-3 contests, 85 chapters, had a lot of stuff building up - but failed to launch on my old laptop (always crashed), and also failed to launch properly on my newest laptop (it did load, but crashed every time I tried loading lots). I had issues with pink-flashing at the time, and I also think I was missing some CC, so it probably collapsed a bit under its own weight. If I gave it another chance now, it probably could work, but eh - I'm (slowly) building a better version.

I have a bad tendency to either abandon ship quickly, or make a mess that continues for quite some time, so I've had a lot of abandoned hoods... The story hood is the one that absolutely lasted the longest.

I keep trying to make a "disaster" hood; lots of fights..and babies (my favorite thing). Un unhappy mom OK, but not a toddler! Yes, having a bad..few months.

Stand up, speak out. Just not to me..

This was a really long time ago but I once played in a version of Strangetown, and this was before I found out the neighborhood was 'broken', with some Sims missing the 'Family' relationship tags. I somehow didn't bother to check the family trees of Pascal Curious and Lola Singles properly and I ended up having them get married and have kids. Once I discovered the truth about their family connection I made up a story-line in my mind that it was Lola who discovered the truth about their familial connection, so she packed up the kids while Pascal was a work and fled to a sub-neighborhood I attached to Strangetown. Honestly, I don't remember what happened afterwards. I think I just deleted the neighborhood out of a need for a new start anyway...
