Default Mods not showing up in game
Hi 👋 I'm trying to get a mod to work in sims 2 legacy collection. I've created the downloads file, extracted the files, and enabled CC but it is not showing up in game.
Any idea where I'm going wrong?

The downloads file is created directly within sims 2 legacy folder.

I've tried various mods with no joy so it's not an issue isolated to particular mods.

Photo attached showing the folder location, and 2 mods I attempted to use.

Could you show me the full file path (address) of your Downloads folder? If you right-click in the white space next to where it says The Sims 2 Legacy>Downloads, choose 'copy address as text' and then paste that here.

Oh, okay! So you have them in the wrong place, where you want to put them is in your Documents folder.

So it should be something like> Users\[username]\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy.

Just cut and paste the Downloads folder there.

If you have One Drive, be sure to make sure it is not synching your Documents folder whilst you play the game.
