Default CC World Not Opening in CAW Tool
Hi! I have a problem regarding the title.
I downloaded Sim-Tropico by MrFatCat here https://modthesims.info/d/654041/sim-tropico.html as a sims3pack file, and now (at my first attempt at CAW Tool) I'm trying to open the .world file from my C:\Users\ASUS\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\InstalledWorlds into CAW Tool following both the original and the quick methods in this thread https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=469942 but it's not working! I'm getting this pop-up instead

Any help would be great!

Hey, do you have all of the required EPs and also the store items required? Can you tell me exactly what steps you took to get this error?

I have all the EPs and Sunlit Tides Gold.. Just as the tutorial said, I created a test world, then got to my Installed Worlds folder, opened simtropico in s3pe, deleted the said WDIP and UKNN, then got back to the test world to import the saved simtropico changes, then was time for CAW open world...

Could you run through the exact steps you did one by one please? What you are saying you did doesn't exactly follow the tutorial.

I tried a few more times, it did open at last, but.....

it's only water?

Looks like you didn't import the assets from the other world?

Well, I got this pop-up while importing.. could it be the cause?

Yes, that means it did not import anything. Try the second method again, just adding the resources to the existing world.

I have a question though, how do I get Island Paradise road & Pavement to show in CAW?

Oh well done!
Someone extracted these files for all of the EA worlds here:
https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=530574
You need to put them into Documents\ Electronic Arts\ The Sims 3 Create A World Tool\ UserToolData\ SourceTextures.
I haven't tested these, in case there are any missing you can always extract them yourself from the original world you have open, and drop them in that folder to use.
