Every time I press the “return to port” option, my sim just takes a taxi boat back. I tried getting him to abandon the port and then return to it, but that didn’t work. This is the only port and the only houseboat space in the world, since I created it solely to test whether or not a houseboat could work in Appaloosa Plains. I don’t think it’s an issue with the world, since it was working fine until then, and the boat can still travel everywhere else completely fine, although I know Appaloosa plains isn’t necessarily the best place for houseboats. Help here would be much appreciated.

The houseboat is probably stuck.

If you use Nrass Master Controller you can reset the lot by choosing the houseboat > Nraas > MC > Advanced Options > Reset Lot. Before that you have to save the port to you library, bulldoze it and place the saved port on the same lot. Check if the lot is categorized as port.

If you don't have MC, enable testingcheatsenabled true cheat and then press Shift and click on random point in the water and choose Teleport Houseboat here. After that check if the houseboat is able to return to the port.

And yes Appaloosa Plains is not the best place to place houseboats because it lacks place to move them around.

Thanks for responding, and sorry it’s been a while since you did. At the time, moving it did work, but the option to return to the port would just call the taxi boat. However, after resetting the computer (for unrelated reasons) it did start working. Don’t know what happened, but that’s not an issue anymore. Still, thank you again.
