Default Clean Installer not installing houses with Sims 2 Legacy Collection
I have got the sims 2 legacy collection and I am having problems installing houses with clean installer, the installer is saying that the files were installed successfully but the houses are not showing up in the game. I have read and followed all the tutorials I could find but nothing is working. I have even uninstalled, downloaded the file and installed but the houses are still not showing up.

Have you tried changing the path?

Go to where the Clean Installer is installed. Find the "S2PCI" file. Open it with Notepad.

Under "Savegamepath="", paste in the path for where your savegame files are (Usually in Documents, location of the Downloads folder and Neighborhoods folder).

I had the same issue with the UC and had to do the same fix, so for me, it looks like this:
SaveGamePath="C:\Users\(my username)\Documents\EA Games\The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection"

But for you it's probably going to be something like this:
SaveGamePath="C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy"

It's best to copy/paste the path directly from the "The Sims 2 Legacy" folder, so you get the proper path (click the filepath once, it should get a dark blue overlay, do Ctrl+C, and do Ctrl+V in the notepad document).

I did that and it is still not showing.

This is what I have saved into the document
C:\Users\(my username)\OneDrive\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy

This is what Clean Installer is showing as default (it will not let me change it even when I uncheck default location)
C:\Users\(my username)\OneDrive\Documents\EA Games\Teleport\

Could be because you're using the OneDrive location. It's best to keep your game very far away from that one...
Are you sure you don't have a location without OneDrive?

Something like "C:\Users\(my username)\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy"

Is OneDrive actively making backups on your computer? If so, you could risk more trouble with your game.

That is my default folder for windows 11. I don't have any option to change it.

I have found a work around. Because it creates a temp folder in the location listed in S2PCI I just have to move the files in that folder into the temp folder in my Legacy folder. It then installs the lots as it should when I enter the game.

You need to modify the ini file of S2PCI. Instructions on my Tumblr. https://catandsusim.tumblr.com/post...fault-to-legacy

Alternatively, you can alter the place Clean Installer will install each time you use it. Uncheck the box and then you can navigate to the Legacy Teleport folder.

Right click on your Sims 2 folder and choose the option to keep it on local drive. That makes One Drive leave it alone. Remember to back it up manually and regularly!

Thank you so much. This has worked, now Clean Installer shows the legacy folder in the default
