Hello, I've been using this site for a long time but never posted before. Pet sims have always been my favorites in TS3, and I love to play my game with pets surviving on their own (see: warrior cats challenge). However, this is nearly impossible with dog sims, because they can only hunt for gems, not any sort of food.

Since I was a kid I've been looking for a mod that basically allows dogs to learn the cat version of the hunting skill. Y'know, the one that *actually* lets you hunt things. I do not know a lot about coding and know next-to-nothing about modding, so I am unsure if this is possible to mod or not. If it is, I would really love to have this in my game. I've always wanted to be able to have autonomous dog sims without them having to rely on humans for food.

If it's possible and not too hard to learn, I may even try to learn the basics and add it in myself, depending on how desperate/motivated I'm feeling.

I think a mod to allow minor pet hunting for dogs would be cool, too. Hmm, perhaps the gem-finding could be renamed to the digging skill, and the minor pets would be the hunting skill. Dogs could be limited in what they can hunt. Perhaps they only hunt minor pets, and don't hunt fish or bugs.
Unfortunately, that would involve a lot of coding that's well beyond my scope of knowledge and ability, so I'm stuck longing for someone else to do it. I have so many ideas of things I'd like to see in the game, but would require God-knows-what to achieve.
