Where to edit the behavior of the mosaic in Sims 3
Hello, I've had a mod idea for a long time now, I'm someone who believes in the "Free the nipple" campaign and I'd like to make a mod that adjusts the mosaic so that it behaves the same on both sim genders. However, I don't know where to find the mosaic, I heard it's suppose to be an XML file, but I am not sure.

I'm not looking to make sexual content however - I just want to adjust the mosaic so that male and female sims are equally covered, and there is no prejudice against women in my game.

I would like to ensure censorship on the bottom half of course, though.

Would anyone be able to help me out? any and all help is appreciated!

Note: The reason I'm asking here and not Sexy Sims is because in MTS there are "Mosaic removers" which entirely remove the mosaic - I'm only looking to adjust it.

I believe the mosaic is one of the VFX stored in the master effects resource, so you'd have to use the VFX Tool to access it- but whether the gender difference can be managed with that, I am unsure. Alternatively, looking into the code for NRaas Decensor could provide reference for a script solution.

The compromise I make in my own game is to use Decensor, but Barbie-fy all of my skins. Permission to be nude, but not having anything explicit underneath :p

You can also take a look at Nraas Decensor and tuning. I don't think it gives a top or bottom decensor, but may give clues you can use, about how that stuff works.

I've taken a look through Nraas Decensor package and it's tuning package, I couldn't find anything in particular that would lead me to the answer unfortunately, I'm using S3PE, maybe I'm not doing it right?

I believe it's a core mod, and you need scripting tools to look inside of it. I don't do scripting, so can't do more than point you to it.

Unlike other No Mosaic mods, Decensor removes it via script. This is for compatibility and customization reasons, allowing for all the toggles and to avoid overwriting the master VFX file I mentioned.

All of the NRaas mods are open source though, so if you're interested in a script modding solution you can look at the code here https://github.com/Chain-Reaction/NRaas
