hi, could someone with regular edition of The Sims 2 hand me an extracted version from LotCatalog directory of the Lycos household? Clean Installer do not open this specific file and I have read that default Sims2Pack installer can open it
I tried extracting with simPE, but there's an aditional "family" file that I don't how to name

it's archived here, I would appreciate your help to get them

There's something weird going on with the file, because Clean Installer refuses to even open it. SimPE does, though.

Anyway, not entirely sure in which format the household is supposed to be - placable lot, or just a household in the family bin?

The LotCatalog only has two types of files, one for characters and one for lots. I'd think the "Family" file seems to be family ties/family bin info. There's a few things that seems to suggest the lot belongs in the "occupied" bin.

hello, it is an occupied lot with a Sim and a dog, just like the Kat and Kim families, what I meant by "family file" is...

let's say we've got a Sims2Pack with a lot occupied by a couple of sims
when we open it with the Clean Installer we'll see four items: a lot item, a "family" item, and two more items for the two sims in the lot
and still that way in the Teleport directory

but somehow when the game install them from the Teleport directory to LotCatalog, there will be only three files: one named "cx_????????" for the lot and two more named like "cx_Character_cx_????????_????????" for the characters



the Lycos sims2pack has those four items with a .sim extension (plus two more for the dog collar as packages)
and while I can use a dummy family to stole their filenames (cause figuring naming scheme of the character files in LotCatalog is not easy) the family file does not get one
it seems to have some data already stored in the lot file, but I can't be sure it's safe to leave out

I have in my notes that I got it to work by using right click> Open with> The Sims 2 Body Shop Package Installer. Probably best if you drag your Documents/ EA Games/ The Sims 2 folder to the desktop first, so that the game installs this to a fresh set of folders. That way you can easily find the files and copy them to your regular install. The house will be installed as a lot segment to the teleport folder; just run the game to install that.

the thing is I'm on Legacy Collection, and Croconaw's Body Shop installer doesn't seem to include the sims2pack installer in favour of Clean Installer, but this one is somewhat an edge case
