This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Custom Paintings
I have wonted to add Custom Paintings but they did not work. I tried these https://modthesims.info/d/692044/20...im-artists.html as well and they work fine. So I am thinking the file needs to be a shorten format. So please help?

1: Did you put the files in the "...\EA Games\The Sims 2\Paintings" folder?
2: Are you using the "Custom painting" option on the easel ingame?

I got https://modthesims.info/d/692044/20...im-artists.html to work so yes I put the file in ...\EA Games\The Sims 2\Paintings and yes I used "Custom painting". It clear the pictures file format is not right.

Did you actually extract the pictures?

The Pictures have to be in BMP format.
24-bit Color Bitmap
Less than 600 KB
Keep reducing the % size in Paint.

They do not have to be in bmp format, jpg is fine. But what custom paintings are you trying to use? It would be helpful to know.

The image used is a ratio of 1:1.72 according to AI. And the default images in my folder support this. The default images are all different sizes but maintain the aspect ratio. None of the default images are over 600kb and mine are all jpg. The drafting table images seem to be about 1:1.3?

When making my paintings I just use a 3 x 5 ratio.
Easy to use & remember.

Custom paintings on the easel are all reduced to 156X243, which is the size of the canvas. On the drafting table, they can be many different sizes.
