Default PlantSim Social Clubs?
Most supernatural Sims are still close enough to regular Sims in needs and gameplay that their daily activities are still fairly similar- sleep, eat, bathe, play, etc... with just the addition of various supernatural flavoring, but PlantSims have the most different basic needs, and so trying to figure out community locations for them is tricky... I'm working on a supernatural Sims community lot that will basically have 'social clubs' for vampires, witches, and PlantSims, and the vampire and witch clubs are already solid ideas, but not so for the PlantSims.

At this point I've got an ornate greenhouse-hybrid building that stylistically fits with the lot, but aside from knowing to have a pool in one wing, I'm struggling to think of what would be useful for PlantSims to find on a community lot... how do you all tend to play these green-skinned chlorophyll-loving Sims? What would you want for the PlantSim equivalent of a coffee shop or a nightclub?

They have those high needs for love, so I just let them hang around with other sims, plantsims and humans, and do lots of hanging out and other group activities. In one of my neighbourhoods, Daisy Greenman opened a nightclub where the dance floor was in the middle of a pool, so any plantsims who needed it could just dive straight down in the water, and with sunlamps and plants hanging from the ceiling above it instead of a disco ball and coloured lights. Since both Daisy and Rose Greenman in that neighbourhood were very much into music and dance, I decided that plantsims were all very musical and had their own music traditions, different from human music. It made a lot of sense then, when all their plantsim friends came around and they would play music or dance together.

That is an incredible idea and I'm totally going to borrow it! My poor plantsims never have anywhere they can go at night that won't end up killing them.

I once built a huge bio-dome (on either a 40x40 or 50x50 lot). Obviously, curved greenhouse walls are not available so I had to improvise with either a zig-zag layout or diagonal greenhouse walls (I don't remember if Seasons provided the option to build diagonal greenhouse walls) to create an octagonal layout. I remember the green house roof was huge! It was meant to be a glass-encased park for Bio Majors and not exclusive to Plantsims. In fact, I didn't really have plant sims in mind when I built it and it was in a Uni neighborhood anyway but it could still work for plantsims in a normal neighborhood. Also, you could always add a coffee bar or any other amenity you see fit (swimming pool, bowling alleys, bubble blowers, etc...).

I can't remember if the hot springs and hot tubs work for plantsims water needs, but if they do, wouldn't a nice steamy tropical greenhouse dotted with those with sunlights overhead be the perfect place for plantsims to hang out? Well, might need to put in some sinks for drinking water to cool off . . .

We visited a botanical garden a week ago that had a tropical greenhouse . . .

Hot tubs and hot springs do work to replenish PlantSims' Water. Hot spring has a specific code and extra BCON lines that replenish more Water for PlantSims. Hot tubs use Semi-Globals, but they were never updated to benefit PlantSims in particular unlike swimming. So just as normal Sims hardly gain Hygiene from a hot tub, so do PlantSims.

Personally, I have a thing for Asia-styled bath houses (both Near- and Far-). A Turkish bath house will weirdly go well serving as a place for PlantSims to gather.
