Is it possible to make a custom tree use the same lot imposter as one of Maxis' trees?
I have some cc trees that are texture-referenced add-ons of the Maxis trees. However, unlike the trees that come with the game, their lot imposters are not optimized LOD versions, but the regular mesh shown in lot view. This makes me worried about using them too often (as well as other custom trees), but at the same time, I don't want to disable them for neighborhood view.
So this is my question: is it possible, for example, to make a cc tree use the same lot imposter as Maxis' birch tree, but without having to edit that custom mesh to include the low-poly LOD in it? I'm basically looking for something that I can do with SimPe, like editing some data to reference the LOD I want to be displayed instead, like we can do when to make an object use the same textures as another.
