Default Question About Fixing Someone's Mod
A wonderful creator hasn't uploaded or updated their mods in a few years and I'd like to ask about sharing some fixes I made. I'm not naming anyone here because I don't want to come across as disrespectful to said creator. Is there a staff member I could DM?

Sharing a creators work depends on various factors. If your update doesn't fall under any of those guides, then you'll have to be more specific. If that happens I can move this to Creator Issues, if that makes you more comfortable, since only the OP and staff could see it.

Thanks for the reply. This is the creator's terms Uploading terms:

Share only on MTS2.
With my meshes:
You may not include with Lots.
You may not include with Sims.
Do NOT include my meshes with recolours.
Do not re-use my textures for unrelated projects.
Additionally:
You may recolour making your own textures
With my walls/floors:
You may include with Lots.
You may recolour using my textures.
Do not re-use my textures for unrelated projects.
General terms:
Please give credit with a link when using my work.
Ask me first before modifying/using.

I'm just not sure where uploading a fixed package puts me- since I edited textures and repacked it. Another is a bed I fixed the tuning on. I did send a message to the creator over a month ago asking permission too, but got no reply. His account shows as being online, but there's been no MTS activity in over 9 months.

So it's not a mod that you have updated, but rather a piece of custom content. Based on their tou about not including mesh based content or reusing textures, I'd say it's a no to sharing. Especially since they have been online and not responded to your message about sharing.

Ok, that makes sense. I just wanted to make sure I was interpreting everything correctly. Thanks for the feed back
