Sims Creator not loading all Skins
Now this seems to be a basic problem, but following a few workarounds I still can't get the thing to load everything. I think it must be something I'm just missing cause it very obviously is loading the skins I grabbed from the GameData folder, but not everything and just nothing else from the various other expansions. Interestingly it seems to have loaded the bulk of the male sim stuff, least from the gamedata folder, and then just.... stops? Meaning there's just a fraction of the female clothing/heads. Like it doesn't have the memory to load everything? (just spit balling random thoughts, I know nothing of this program)
I don't have legacy, so not a problem in that realm. Game isn't installed in the normal directory though, so TSC can't read the game folders. I tried the workaround found in
this tutorial (couple of posts down) but that didn't seem to do anything. Only thing that had any change was copying everything in the skins folder directly into the resource skins folder, but like I said. It doesn't load everything for some reason. I copied all the expansion .far files, and both animation and texture .far files, to the main folder, then the resource folder, and finally directly into the skins folder just to check.
I've tried different compatibility modes, its run as administrator. Not a heap of stuff out there as you can imagine (least not for anything pre-legacy) so I've just... hit a wall.
Ideally I'd just change the default folder it looks for, but I have no idea how to do that.
I'm looking for particular meshes, and of course they're part of the not loaded group D;
Alternatively, I'll be happy to use other programs, but I only just decided to try creating mods for this game, so I don't really know what's out there though I did find a list. Just figured TSC would be an easier starting point for basic texture replacing. If you have other suggestions I'm all for it!
