This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Authorized Personnel Only Set Up

I cannot figure this mod out. This is only an example, I have tried it in other houses and the sims will still completely ignore it even autonomously. (There was one where a sim kept walking through the door to feed a baby)

The way this looks to me, is I selected "Deny everyone" so it should not allow any sim through the door, then adding the override would allow the Amanda and Kalvin, hit 'lock' to engage, and then.... nothing happens.
I shift-clicked and tried "set route blocks" but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I have also tried shift-clicking, "unset route blocks"- tested, didn't work. "Unset route blocks" and then "set route blocks" and it didn't work.

Basically, I want to be able to lock this bedroom door to only allow the parents (Amanda and Kalvin)

I have also tried denying all of the options, allow override of the certain sims (and locked the door) and it does not work. Setting room occupancy to 2, and it still lets a third in.

Solved: It was conflicted with the Best Friends Door Lock mod, but ensuring that the APO loaded after the Best Friends mod corrected the issue and everything works now

Is the object in the room that you want restricted? It doesn't lock a specific door, it denies access to a specific room, through any door.

Yes it is.

Just to make sure it wasn't somehow connected to me directing a sim to do something, I made another lot- Two sims, the building had an interior room with a toilet. Set this up for Sim A, dropped Sim B's bladder to 0. Sim B ran into the toilet, into the room that I had intended to be restricted.

Well, it works just fine for me, so you must be doing something different to what you've described in your post.

Not necessarily. He might have a mod that's conflicting.

IntelFrog, have you checked with HCDU to see if anything might be conflicting with Authorised Personnel?

It will tell you if any of your mods are using the same resources and therefore might conflict.

I am so sorry it's taken me this long to get back to you - busy weekend. I did figure a buncha stuff out (hilariously, a lot of other conflicts that I haven't run into issues with) APO is conflicting with the best friends door lock, but changing the load order fixed it! Thank you! I don't know why I didn't even think of mod conflicts for this. I really appreciate your help
