Sims 3: Travelling Help
Hello!
This forum is probably going to get a little complicated as I try to explain things the best way I can, or if they have already been answered before, but I am quite new to this process in The Sims 3 and am wanting to know as much as possible with trying to understand it as I am a little confused with how the process works...
I'm wanting to create an "Uberhood" type setting in The Sims 3, similar to what it is like in The Sims 2. But there are a few things that have me a little concerned about trying this in this game.. Note I have NRAAS mods that can allow Sims to travel freely within' the game (eg: Traveller, Story Progression..)
1: When adding a world as a "Vacation Destination" say I want to add Sunlit Tides to Isla Paradiso, and travel to Sunlit Tides on the pretence that I'm staying there on "Vacation", but lets say that I want to move now to Sunlit Tides. I change it to my current homeworld whilst staying in a Vacation home, is this safe? (because by default from what I have seen is that Vacation homes are free to rent) If done, do I have to change any neighbourhood files in the save (as I read somewhere that u have to replace or copy a neighbourhood file from the save somewhere) to change the current neighbourhood file to ur currently played world? It sounds confusing and complicated..
2: If above was said to have been done, is there any freedom of going back and forth to any town at any time I like without problems? for example, I have had enough time in Sunlit Tides and want to go back and switch the homeworld back to Isla Paradiso, is this ok to do so? and what if after time again I want to go to a new town altogether once back in Isla Paradiso and say I want to now go to Bridgeport.. would I have to travel back to Sunlit Tides before I go to Bridgeport, or can I just go to Bridgeport and go back to Sunlit Tides whenever I feel ready again? I heard there is a certain way u have to travel in this game (a certain method apparently) and idk if you can just safely do this without a certain method?
3: I have heard also that once u start moving between towns, duplicates become an issue. Is there anyway to get rid or disable of this process altogether, and also that Story Progression is at a "catch-up rate" and that sims might go missing, age up, or randomly expect a child the next time u go back to said world, so is there anyway u can disable this aswell as I do not wish to have the worlds "progressing" the next time I go back to them..
I'm sorry if this was long, drawn out, and confusing to read. Hopefully someone with extensive knowledge about this can help me understand this process a little bit easier..

but thankyou so much for taking the time to read this long-stretched-out post..
