Hi! I've recently had issues with The Sims 2 and decided to give The Sims 4 a try for a change. Long and possibly unclear explanation ahead, I'll do a TLDR at the end
To preface my actual issue, I will be going through my Build/Buy Mode Mod folder to get to the bottom of this, however, I would greatly appreciate tips and pointers since I'm not that familiar with cause and correlation in the world of TS4 CC. That is to say, I'm not always sure if x problem is caused by y thing or z thing and how to efficiently solve it.

Okay. So I downloaded CC, made a new save, created a family, moved them in, all that jazz. I'm a little overly careful when it comes to saving lots in TS4 due to loading screens freezing, so while decorating this house, I would save at random points and then proceed.

I finish decorating the house and go to save the game, but it freezes completely and I have to force TS4 shut. I relaunch the game, go back to the same lot, keep furnishing and it happens again. At this point I'm fairly certain this is due to some CC furniture item that I have placed, but have no real clue how to figure out what item that is.

So that's the problem I'm dealing with. When launching the game, I use Clean Launcher, which deletes the cache every time and has a function to detect bad mods and stuff, and it hasn't flagged anything. I downloaded all the CC I have within like the last two days and I always check that they're not too old and preferably have been fairly recently updated to avoid any mishaps.

This brings me to my question. Some of the CC furniture I have do not contain thumbnails in-game. Is that irregular or a normal thing? Does it indicate there's something wrong with that piece of CC? I think finding an answer to this could potentially be quite helpful in my 50/50:ing my BuildBuy folder

TLDR; I place CC furniture down and save, game freezes. Is CC furniture without thumbnails safe to use or a tell-tale sign of being outdated or corrupted?
