So @Missdabone I wasn't sure whether or not to mention
Sun & Moon's All Fired Up! 2.0 because it does way more than you're looking for, but I think it might be your best bet.
Pros:
1. ALL fires will last 8 hours
2. There's some pretty niffy custom fire pits and campfires you can choose to add in the set
Potential Cons:
1. ALL fires also require 3 piles of Tree Branches OR 1 Bundle of Firewood (or tinder box, I think) in order to be lit.
This is probably the biggest drawback, if you were looking for something simple. Like other Sun & Moon sets, this set/mod takes products from one thing and uses it to make something else. So the main idea behind this set & mod is that sims need wood to light fires, which probably isn't what you wanted. Now, I do highly recommend this set/mod; I myself use it, even when I play modern hoods because I like the idea of having my sims going out to chop down trees or buy firewood for their campfires. I think it's great for those times when I'm playing camping sims or sims living off the land. But I understand that it could be a bit of a bummer, if you weren't looking for that. If you're comfortable messing around in simPE, you could try tuning the mod to make it so that nothing is required for fires, but again, that requires a bit of work on your part.
2. It does require another set in order to work,
Sun & Moon's Giving Tree set.
Again, I do highly recommend this set and use both all the time. And as Sun & Moon sets go, these two are fairly self contained; you just need the Giving Tree set and the All Fired Up set (i.e the firewood station, functional fires, and the functional fire mod itself). I find these sets useful even in modern hoods--it adds a bit of realism and challenge. I have fun making forests with trees from the Giving Tree set as well as a few other Sun & Moon items and then when my sims camp, they chop wood or gather branches. But you know, if you weren't look for that or don't want this, it would be a lot of extra stuff you don't need, especially if you choose not to try and tune the mod.
So, that's the best option available, I think. At the very least, you might be able to take a look at the functional fires mod and see how to tune the campfire to last longer.
