Basically I'm wanting to extract the flooring texture for the yellow paw print linoleum to use as a background for a pet shop sign I'm making for my in-game pet store on the hood I'm building. I've looked in the EP04 folder with SimPE: various packages in the Catalogs, Materials, Objects, etc. folders. But no image files for flooring textures. I'm sure I've done this years ago since I have CC uploaded here on my old account which uses terrain textures that I extracted, but A) I forgot what I did since it was so long ago and B) I would've been using UC there whereas I'm using LC now, which could have a slightly different file layout.

TLDR if anyone could point me to where the EP04 flooring textures are located in the game's files (in .package format), I would greatly appreciate it!

You want the LIFOs, which can be found in TSData\Res\Sims3D/Objects07 thru TSData\Res\Sims3D/Objects09, for the respective EP/SP. That location is dependent on game version and where you installed it. For me it is C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection. And since I have UC, that'll be in the Fun with Pets/EP04 folder

It's possible some walls and floors only have the TXTR and no associated LIFO, so that would be in TSData\Res\Sims3D/Objects06 for the respective EP/SP

Pretty much all the resources should be available in the "TSData\Res\3D" folder for the spesific pack. The files with textures and meshes tend to be the larger files. Textures come as LIFO and TXTR resources.

Buy/build and a few other item types are in the "Object##" files, CAS resources are in the "Sims##" files.

For EP4 and spesifically the floors,
Object06 has the TXTR files (up to 64x64px), the items start with "floor".
Object08 has the LIFO files (128+256px). "...0_lifo" are the largest files, "...1_lifo" are the smallest.
