Default Random Berry Challenge
I started forming another challenge in the Sims 4 and I realized that I never shared the Random Berry Legacy Challenge I devised.

It is based on the Not So Berry Legacy Challenge you may have heard of, by lilsimsie and @alwayssimming, only because I can't stand repetition, I decided to randomize the generations each time. It was also inspired by the many house building tutorials made by youtuber Sahm_and_Bean.

You don't need to be a builder to do this challenge, though it will make it more fun if you at least don't hate it.

Below I have two links to google spreadsheets. When you open them it should automatically prompt you to make a personal copy when you open the links.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...1DhF2njmeM/copy

Anyways, the first doc is a Random Generator. The way the spreadsheets work, the second any cell is altered, it will generate a new selection of randomly chosen answers. It has 3 pages to it, an Instructions page that I wrote a while ago. It will go over this same stuff, a Random Generator page which should be the only one you'll want to use, and a "sheet 1" page that contains all of the possible random values that can appear in the prior page.

On the Random Generator page I gave you an empty green box on the top. Any time you want to re-randomize it, type anything into the box, a letter or number will work, and press enter. Go ahead and re-roll for any values you don't have the expansion packs for, or do not want to try.

For each generation it will give you a: Color, Career, Hobby, A House Style, a World, and an Occult

On the second link you'll find another spreadsheet entitled Challenge Tracking Spreadsheet. This one should work to just take note of the values from the other sheet. There are 10 generations and their spouses on this sheet. If you want to, you can re-roll a spouse's career, hobby, and occult status. But their home style and color they will inherit from the spouse.

For the Color, this should be the primary color in the home. You are allowed to just use it as a starting point or color-drench your homes as much as you like. You can also dress your sims in as much of that color as you choose.

The Career and Hobby boxes will be the only way you'll have to make money. Most hobbies I listed have ways to make money with them. But the Careers are designed to be the primary source of income. Note that I put Landlord into the hobby category because of the glitches many have had with getting paid rent. Retail, from get to work, and small business owner, from business and hobbies, are under the careers tab. Hopefully the also drawn hobby will make you build some interesting businesses. Another bonus rule: You may allow profiting off of any skill that is required by the career you roll. Some have requirements to progress, you can see these skills as bonus hobbies if you'd like.

The Style is an architectural house style. I got a whole bunch of them on the internet and made a list of them. But you don't have to follow the style exactly if you don't want. I'd suggest looking up images online and using them as a guide. Go ahead and build as BLAN (Built like a Nerd) as you like, or go more modern and just make it look sorta like the style.

Lastly, the World and Occult were lines I threw in there because I wanted to add more randomness to my play. If you want to just ignore these and build where you want, go ahead. Sometimes a certain style house will look odd in certain worlds. And it can be hard to play as an occult in one generation, then need to cure the status in the next generation, so I will understand if you want to ignore this here too.

And when a generation ends, the next generation will need to start. They'll re-roll another whole list of values. If you want to roll for them at their birth, then use the child's color to build their nursery, go ahead. Going back to the Random Generator page, under the box labeled "Ending Funds" is a red box. You can type in here a value that is at least $4000. This should be the total cash available to be brought with them by the sim moving out. This will fill the 2nd Box under "Inheritance" for the New Generation with a random value that is between 2000 and half the Ending Funds. I originally designed this to keep track of each generation's value, but the randomization rule strikes again. Anyway, I have boxes on the Challenge Tracking Spreadsheet for each value if you want to keep track. This is the amount of their parent's money they'll take with them when they move out. If you are unlucky to start with just 2k, you'll have to struggle to build your home from the ground up. Though, just as easily, you can get a lot of money, so I didn't see a problem halving it by default.

Another note: I tried to keep a note about what pack each item belongs to, except for a few of them. For instance Pet training/ Animal Handling and Horseback Riding are under one box in the Hobby's list. This includes things that come with multiple packs. You can see this hobby as permission to own any chicken/ cow/ Llama/ Minisheep/ or Minigoat, that you want, and to profit from them, along with any horse challenges from that pack. Thus it can be done with multiple packs, or just one of them.

One more note: You'll see some of the potential hobbies will carry over into others. For instance, I have gardening on the list. If you draw flower arranging, for instance, or any other hobby, you are not forbidden from having a garden, only profiting off of it by directly selling the produce. You can grow, and then use the flowers, though, all you want.

If my lists are incomplete, you can add items to the lists on the third "sheet 1" page, though you'll then have to alter the corresponding box on the "Random Generator" page to get it to be considered. This uses formulas to make the items appear, so I would not do so unless you understood what you were doing. For Instance, the Color Formula looks like this: =INDEX(Sheet1!A2:A14,RANDBETWEEN(1,COUNTA(Sheet1!A2:A14)),1)
Thus A2:A14 corresponds to the cells on Sheet1 with my color options. To add a 15th color, I'd need to change A14 to A15 in both places on the line. Then I would click at the very end of the formula line, before clicking off of the tile and onto another tile. Spreadsheets have a habit of adding to the formula if you click while your curser is in the middle of them.

Anyways, it will always be possible to go back to my original to get another copy, from the above links, if you need to. Though It may just be easier to change one of the selectable options to another style name you prefer, just by altering what's in the lists on sheet1

I did try transferring the file into another format to have it offline, and it needed finer altering in the program I was using. If you want to make an excel or other spreadsheet version of the Challenge Tracking Spreadsheet, you can, but the Random Generator is best done with the original google sheets version I linked above.
