Default NRaas - Scheduled Downtime
Hi everyone,

Just letting you know that the NRaas website will be unavailable for the next 10 days or so as we move to a new server (thanks to the generous support of the community!)
The notice about this on the site will be down by tomorrow, so hopefully this is the second place you think to check before panicking!

Almost two weeks without access to the technical support and documentation offered on the site is a while to wait, so here is some broad advice:
  • If you're experiencing crashes or script errors, temporarily remove all other (non-NRaas) mods and custom content.
If the issues resolve, the culprit was likely a mod or CC that is beyond our ability to fix anyway.
  • When all else fails, a clean user folder is usually a good bet.
This involves renaming or moving your The Sims 3 user folder (the one where your Saves and Mods are located) to the Desktop. When you next launch the game, a clean copy of this folder will regenerate. You may re-install the Mod Framework and NRaas mods at this point and test for the issue.
  • If you narrowed down an issue to a NRaas mod itself, please keep a copy of any ScriptError(s) and information somewhere safe and get back to us when the site is live
  • If you have general questions, you're welcome to reply to this thread, send me a private message, or send an ask on Tumblr.

An update from the site owner:

If you see anyone panicking about the state of the site or attempting to offer re-uploads of the mods, please gently inform them that everything is intact and is simply awaiting the new server.
Particularly, I don't have a Reddit presence - so if someone would repost this link in response to any concerns cropping up there, I'd appreciate it!

We're back up! (tentatively)

Expect smaller outages for a while, but things are on the mend.
